Kaiji is about this dude (who seems like a hobo) who suddenly incurred a debt for being his friend's guarantor. Now he has to gamble his life for money (for the lulz of rich people with some weird/hardcore gambles) so he doesn't get sold to Africa and become a slave. The anime covers something like around 3 nights of his life despite having like 26 episodes or somewhere close. It's a pretty dark anime, with gambling and minor mindfuck stuff. Unless you're into these stuff, don't watch it because you'd be depressed for a few days after watching the whole series in 2 days. It does have the BEST OST though, in my opinion.
