Yi is funny, he's so hit or miss. Just rocked an AP Yi on Nidalee.

When I though I grasped the concept of AP & AD,this confuses me all over again. Why would someone go AP Yi? His Auto-Attack does way more dammage than any of his spells?

i don't see how you're confused with ability power and attack damage, ability power scales with nukes and attack damage is best for champions who relies on auto attacks

oh and to explain about yi going ap, his q ability is a multi target nuke and scales with ability power tho i still don't think its viable to go ap on yi

I understand AP & AD itself,but didn't understand why u'd go AP on Yi. But as you said, I doubt his Q skill is better than auto-attack but w/e.

Ok, I can't believe I have to explain this. AP Yi is a tank build used by a few elite players on High Elo situationally. Idiots see this and go Ap tank Yi all day and think they can be High Elo too. The concept is simple, yi has a great farming ability, something all tanks lack (why do you think shen is so good? ranged farming. Rammus has ult enough that he can farm with it, alistar has amazing lane staying power. Tanks with good farming is very sought afer). He's also a high priority target, a good thing for any tank. His base defense stats are amazing, like most tanks. Now, if you get rylais on him he slows a whole team and does a good chunk of damage. (nothing game breaking, but they'll be a bit softer for your real casters/dps to come in) But the real ability that scales amazingly with his base stats and AP is meditate.

Perfect initiation, 'q' in, slow whole team, they all turn around to try and kill you cause you're the only thing in range and you just meditate and lol as you heal past their damage. Losing the battle? np, just ult and run.

As for why this is situational, it should be obvious if you read the skill descriptions.

any wise man would stun the yi out of meditate or stun him before he can meditate

you realize that meditate doesn't only heal you right.... it gives you 250 armor and mr

First game with Nasus, I like him and don't like him. His skillset is awesome,and his Godmode is a life saver. Thing is I never managed to get a kill using Godmode and he has no escape mechanism
Ill have to keep playing him

As for AP Yi, that Yi was an idiot. Nothing like HotShotGG or FlankD. He was mid against me and fed me two kills and then he let me roam and gank, he never once tried to counter gank. Then in team-fights despite his ~350 armor ignite+takedown destroyed him because he would self-cancel meditate and run only to eat a 1k+ crit to the face.

@SM, it's a tank build at mid Elo and a carry build at High Elo. At mid Elo no1 saves a stun/silence for Yi. At High Elo they do, so AP Yis chain Alpha strike with Lichbane procs. Personally, I think I would have died a lot more if he was AD. I left most team-fights with about 200 hp.

Something is wrong about the EXP system. You loose a 60+ mins game and barely get rewarded.

Oh and found out that its not that Practice Mode unlocks all Champs,its that there's currently a bug in the store. ALL CHAMPS UNLOCKED EVEN IN MATCHMAKING

I don't get any IP, just had game, showed I got 233 IP, but my ammoutn still stayed in 712 after the mathc -.-'

Also now everyone can get Xin and Twitch, OP and noob OP champ in same game, I get enough of those two.

Read the forums. They are currently having trouble with the store causing gain or loss of IP/EXP. Thats also why they made all the champs avaible.

LoL has the suckiest servers ever. Past 2 weeks where terrible. Maintenance everyday, server randomly down for hours. F2P is not an excuse, Riot knows buisness and they make quite an amount of money. They should be able to keep their servers,right now the game looks so un-professional
