I don't read korean, but I can see nothing to indicate that joymax.net has anything to do with Silkroad's Joymax (e.g. no mention of Joymax Corporation). And it sees pretty obvious that the Taito Corp.'s Joymax mentioned in the article is http://www.joymax.net

What is the deal with me being a spambot?

And the date? Yes, the article is almost a year old. So?

Did I make this up? Of course not. The link is right there. The post is a DIRECT QUOTE from YahooNews.

A different company? The link you provided has Taito and Joymax Corp all over it. The article clearly links these two companies. Thats the point.

What is so weird about this post?

Joymax, the developer of SRO has clear ties to gambling corps. The slot machines noted above in another post further clarifies this. I think that although Joymax has made an awesome game, it is important to note that providing the gaming community with quality games may not be thier primary interest. Maybe making money through addictive behavior is. Now, one could argue that all MMORPGs are just the same in that regard and I couldn't disagree.

Am I trying to stop anyone from playing SRO? Of course not. I play every day. I buy silk every month. But this is an important thing to consider when you ask yourself: "Is this company REALLY interested in providing me with a quality game and gaming environment?" This isn't Blizzard that we are talking about. Joymax is the product of gambling corps unlike other gaming companies who are in the business of making quality games and nothing more.

Just keep it in mind.

And why be so paranoid? I'm a normal guy sharing what I have learned. It hasn't stopped me from playing. But it may, if it gets much worse. The article clarified a lot for me. And gives me an idea of what I can and cannot expect from Joymax in the future.

Do what you want with the information. But why attack my credibility? Yahoo wrote the article. Not me.

Dont kill the messenger. I'm just sharing information. I was hoping to spark a dialogue about the article and the state of SRO, NOT whether or not I am a spam bot.

Bots suck. And it hurts my feelings to be called one or for my post to be called weird or for people to attempt to discredit me for passing on information from a credible source. Take it easy guys.

Is this just because I am a new user? I posted a few times when I first started playing, but I forgot what e-mail, user and password I had. I spent almost 1/2 hour putting in different e-mail addreses (I have several) user names and passwords before I figured that my account had been deleted or something. I wrote it down in a safe place this time. Maybe a mod can trace my IP and delete one or the other.

And yes, although I only posted this article once on SRO official, it was deleted immediately. Not discussed or denied - DELETED. Joymax does not want you to have this information for obvious reasons. They have also deleted a few posts where I have noted the "Contact Us" section of Joymax Corps website where it clearly states that they want to hear your concerns about the game. I have found that pretty odd. I find a lot about that Mod Team odd.

C'mon guys. Chill out. I am not your enemy. 8)
