It's just a company, every company has money as their first priority, I'm sure the owner of mcdonalds doesnt care that he's made america the obesity capital of the world by putting one his burger joints on every street corner, all he'll care about is how fat his wallet is, same as any business.

Nobody is forced to pay any money to JM, they just make it so you can't do much without doing so, a clever business strategy.

Every day everyone moans at how greedy they are and how their money hungry and yet I've not once seen a statement on their site saying you HAVE to give them a single cent lol

dont be stupid, its not dying, its just improving. and anyone who thinks improvements come for free is stupid too. Black Mamba is corret, theyre a business, and they have to make money. its up to you whether you buy item mall enhancements, im happy that they give you the option to begin with, free or pay for a better service.

All i see happening is SRO becoming better, i like the game, a lot of people like the game. Its not dying.

I'm pretty sure it's not dying, like SG said the other day, for every person who quits they get replaced by at least 1 person. With the 90 cap coming in the next couple of months, europe stuff, castle sieges, all the other unmade things and area coming in the future there's plenty of life left in it.

I don't think half the forum quit though, it wouldn't make much sense to have half a forum full of people for a game they don't even like.

iSRo is so far from dying its not even funny. They rake in crazy amounts of cash per month and with the 90 cap and 9D coming more people will come back and more item mall shit will be released and even though everyone will say i hate this game bla bla bla, they will still play and buy stuff. Hell, even if they dont buy stuff they will still play and tell there friends, and their friends will be the ones who buy stuff.

Think of SRO as a neighborhood in a city. A brand new one. Families move in, they mow their yards, paint their houses and build little picket fences. They have a high standard of living, high expectations and pride in their cute new homes.

But little by little as the neighborhood ages, those young families move out and rent their houses. Renters dont have the same kinda pride in the house they live in, so the grass isnt perfectly trim and the picket fences really could use a coat of paint.

Pretty soon after a string of renters and little bits of dmg here and there, not to mention the fact that the landlords are busy and dont maintain the homes, the property values are dropping and so is the rent. Low income families arrive to fill the niche. Crime rates rise and graffiti starts to appear on the walls. The current group of residents have a different standard of living, lower expectations. The houses get sold to slumlords who are just trying to get the most out the desperate ppl living there.

So, is the neighborhood empty? no. Lots of people there. Do YOU wanna live there? Hell no. I mean, it's just business, right?

Be glad this will make the game a lot more fun, the time you have to farm is just crazy it asks for a 3rd party program and since most gamers just want a shot of fun on daily basis then this is a good solution to reach highest level quickly. It basically just starting to cost a lot of money especially for the services we are getting, the only thing i am waiting for is everyone who pays the premium to actually get premium service.

weird point of view there Nightbloom, since the problems was always there but some quit earlier then others. that you just decided to leave after such a long time has practically nothing to do with this game, some people still finds GE not as good as silkroad so the way you compared it is kinda biased.

Some people still want to live in this city, because they don`t find all those problems such a big deal.

I can see that there are many idiots in this game and can't read things in the description of something they go about in buying.

The GT has never given you 100% SP increase, but only EXP 100% increase. Yet if you think about it, you do get SP increase....how?

Well its simple... IF you are lvling 100% faster than normal, then you are getting 100% more SP than normal, hence getting 100% SP as well.

1. So your saying that Joymax never screwed up the description of an item? HA

2. Yes it has. If it didnt, then you wouldnt get double SP per kill, only double EXP per kill.

3. :? :? You wanna read what you just wrote and tell me if it makes sense to you?

OMG the noobness...............

Pred works for JM. If you werent a noob to the game and one of the ppl I mentioned above, you'd know.

Those of us who have been here a long time KNOW what the game is missing, we saw it when it was good. Your expectations are lower because you didnt see it then.

I'll also add that Pred is a very cool guy and my opinion of JM doesnt extend to him. lol

Combining the tickets (PT/SP) gives you your usual double exp/sp and then another double sp, it doesn't double again what the PT gives.

EG:

Normal SP a kill: 200.

With PT Only: 400.

With SP Only: 400.

Combined: 600.

So it doesn't double to 400 and then double that to 800.

I just finished my first combined double ticket and that's what I got.

Without any tickets...

Image

With PT/SP Tickets combined...

Image

603 exp x 2 = 1206.

240 sp exp x 3 = 720.

I'm not sure where you got the x 4 from, if it was x 4 I'd have gotten 960 sp exp instead. The only way you could say x 4 is if you were trying to say you get a x 2 (GT/PT) stacked with a x 2 (SP) to make x 4, but even then your still gonna end up with x 3 what you usually get.

LOL Omg I can't stop, improving the game? Hahahaha. Yes, I mean, bot blocks that end up being short term because they all make new chars, and a lot of them are gold farming bots. Woot? Items that will just make you spend more money on the game, then get the same service. Woot?

You all need to open your eyes, Joymax is looking out for itself only, and that means more money. They're gonna give you something small and say "look, we're getting better JUST FOR YOU." Then they'll stop until people complain too much, rinse and repeat. Hell, I bet soon as the next update comes out, the gm team disappears, bots stop being blocked, nothing happens, and people will be like "oh, they gave us an update, its ok!" Cretins.

No, the problem wasnt always there. The bot didnt show up till after the 60 cap. Neither did the item mall. The item mall wasnt a big deal, we welcomed that. But the bot was a cancer that was allowed to spread. It killed the whole balance of the game. Instead of rooting out the cancer, JM is trying to soothe the symptoms by giving you for money what the botters get for free.

Easier login. The bot doesnt get disconnected after filling in ID, pass and the verification. They changed the coding in the client somehow. So only you get DCed and have to try again. JM eases your discomfort by charging you for the pleasure.

Easy SP and XP gain. The bot runs 24/7 and everyone knows that a botter char is a fully farmed one. Everyone complained, "How can we compete? They can go 24/7 and be fully farmed!!!" JM compensates you by charging you to get extra XP and SP so you too can be fully farmed like a bot.

The cost of being a JM farm animal? About $40 a month, give or take.

The cost of being a botter? Depends on which route you take. It could be free or it could cost about $14 a month.

Who is smarter? Well JM wins in the end dont they. The botters make you envious and you wanna be high level and farmed like them. JM says, give us money and we will make it so.

Where is JMs reason to change? It isnt going to be outta the goodness of their hearts. You have filled their korean eyes with american dollar signs and only an idiot would say no to that.

Nightbloom, this has been going on for a long time already. i find it weird that you suddenly claim you quit just cause of the company behind it is terrible, its no secret that Joymax is just digging gold, this has been since the silk updates if they really cared about service they would have cleaned all servers LONG time before this.
The fact is still that silkroad is a good game the company behind it is just terrible but that was since day 1 there is no need to use excuses you just found a better game that is all, i still can`t find it and i am actually looking forward for my gGT to end and buy a PT and SPT.

Bots will always destroy any game, even FPS games usually need LAN's to decide if people are clean or not it is just sad Joymax is giving a big middlefinger towards anyone who just want to hand grind and not using silk.

The choice is still ours to decide if we want to pay all that much cash to just log in and get more exp/sp.
i wonder how long GE will stay f2p (still downloading) :banghead:

In the beginning we told ourselves that JM would put customer service in place. We thought the item mall was a precursor to that. At the same time they updated the website. We all remained hopeful. We began to see GMs in game. We rubbed our hands together thinking this was the beginning... But it turned out not to be. It was actually the end. It seemed the start of the item mall and the start of the bot were pretty much simultaneous. The words "Any day now, JM is going to..." became our mantra. It is still your mantra today. "Any day now" has become years. The desperately optimistic still say, "Any day now..." Meanwhile JM cashes another check and the botters start their programs.

You can ask any long time TE member, I quit "playing" silkroad a long time ago. More than 6 months ago. I logged in, went through the motions, but did not really play. I just couldnt leave Fly. Now that I have finally convinced him to leave, I have no qualms about never logging on SRO again. If giving away my char were legal, Id do so.

But, telling you guys all this does nothing. I have decided to put my writing skills to actual use and will be submitting reviews of iSRO and various other games I have played over the years to various gamer sites. I return to SRF out of affection and habit for all of you, even the ones I dislike, have become part of my daily routine. It pains me to see the anger and frustration that continue to swirl around SRO. Gaming is supposed to be fun.
