fb messenger is really not an alternative to msn...
i dont have a facebook account and a lot of it is due to some old friends i had on msn posting random shitty updates on their stupid status and I had to sieve through the bullshit in order to get to the stupid chat.

I dont want status updates or photo storage or video uploads or stupid shitty game requests or advertising or spam from groups or any of that shit.

i just want a messaging service to talk to people when i need to talk to them.
skype is the way to go but it has a long way to go to be as good as msn was back in the day.

Even skype's sounds are less intrusive...

I won't comment on the image share option. I guess some can like it, but last time I used it it was the biggest hassle ever...

^That window when logging in appears quite rarely for me. And I have no ads in convo windows. Only the one in the main window.

OT: i hate this. I refuse to use skype. hated that sh1t since my parents first started using it to call my family in Iraq. why they remove MSN :soosad:
