Would probably get major lag with these specs though

Would be no problem with higher end mobiles like the HTC Desire HD or the LG Optimus 2X. Both have a 1Ghz CPU (one single and one of them dual core). Desire HD have 768MB ram, so that would be no problem at all either. The graphics well... I believe it would be possible too. DirectX... I doubt any mobile OS supports that, but then again, don't know anything about it.
And yeah, hard disk space would not be a problem either.
Still, some kind of cloud gaming would be easier

Well I certainly wouldn't suggest grinding in a party for 3-5 hours on a smartphone, but it could be useful to hop on quick to do some action with the guild (need to invite/ban someone?), hand in a quest, check on your consignment shop items, things like that. Even a little casual solo grinding might not be too bad. Shave the more hardcore grinding, jobbing, pvping stuff for the desktop.
