Oh so your supposed to feel sore without feeling sick? Do you think im doing something wrong if I don't feel sore after the day I work out? I only feel sore the first couple days I work out and then after that I don't feel like I'm getting anything done.

id like to elerberate by saying you will feel it the day after, by shit i mean barly been able to move or it hurts to move

Actually being sore at all isn't really a good sign. It shows that you didn't do a good cooling down. To prevent getting sore you need to do stretches after your workout, stretch the muscles you were working.

Being sore the next day generally is a good sign. Your muscle groups generally take a few days to recover.

But, not for everyone ofcourse. Everyone is different, theres never a simple answer.

No, dont work out to get sore -_-

Think of aiming a goal at what u do, and compete all reps and sets. Your only cheating yourself if you dont, and it wont benefit you, all you have to do is push yourself. With this, and using your right amount of weight and the right amount of reps/sets, you could experince sorness within the first couple of weeks, but youll get used to them in awhile if you continue to push yourself. The sorness you experince is just a sign of your body's workout after one.

If you try a new work out, or are working out longer/harder then you usually do, you will get sore the next day. This happens for a while but after you get used to it you usually shouldn't get sore, I don't

You guys realise..

The body grows best when it is trying to adapt.

The body goes sore when it is adapting.

You should regularly change your workout if you want to achieve good results.

If your body is getting so used to the workout that your not feeling anything afterwords.. then whats that telling you?

Think about stuff before you try and teach people incorrect stuff.

Thanks,

I felt like putting a gap between everything i say.

For some reason.

Sorry..

just a fyi pain is the bodys way of saying something is wrong, if your in pain something is wrong ofc sore is different, but if it hurts to move your doing it wrong you should feel the work out you have done in a more positive manor so please dont confuse this

so in general, if I don't feel sore (not pain) at all the next day that means I'm not working hard enough the day before? I know what feeling sore in a good way is like. I'm just wondering if its not good if I don't feel worked out at all the next day.

toasty, what time intervals should I switch up my schedule?

theres never a simple answer. you generally have to try different things and see how you feel personally.

you probably wont always feel sore, while at the same time you will have days when you wont be able to lift as much as you have done before.

lots of people say to change your workout plan every 1-2 months or so. could be good for some, good be bad for some. a good way of knowing to change is simply when you find your current workout plan too "comfortable" and find your gains slowing down / stopping then you should change what your doing and mix it up a bit.

Most workout guide's say about 6-8 weeks of 1 workout plan. Also feeling sore doesn't mean your not working hard enough, its just that your body is getting used to it.

Toasty is correct. Working out causes micro-tears and lactic acid buildup in your muscles.. that equals soreness. The second day after leg workouts I'm usually so sore it hurts to walk. Leg workouts are the worse for causing soreness because of the large amount of weight used.. large muscle groups used.. and the fact you have to immediately start using those muscle groups after the workout/ the rest of the following days.
