So, Love, what do you suggest I should do, since now I can do 25 pushups in snap, I'll make it prolly 30... I need to build my chest & arms, but chest is primary.

Stuff like benchpress, go on youtube and search for chest exercises etc.

Use weights.. i dont know how many times this has to be said. To get stronger, you do less reps of a heavier weight (3 sets, 8 reps, 1 minute rest between each set.. that kind of thing)! Strain yourself!

also, i didn't mean it as a generalization, i was just using his same logic. he meant why waste time staying healthy if we are all going to die anyway. looks like you agree with that way of thinking..

start bench pressing with around 60% your body weight if possible and every 1 or 2 weeks add 5-10 pounds. do that til you reach 80% of your body weight and once there start playing with it adding more weight and repetitions as you improve ( with time you should do more than 100% but this is not your goal and will hurt your efforts if attempted, mentioned so you know that as time passes you will gets results attached to the routine ).

strength training is not about 1 exercise btw is about a combination done properly. working hard is the path to failure is all about working smart.

the method i stand by and have not seen fail when done properly or even half heartedly at that is this:

3-4 exercises for which you will do 8-12 repetitions ( if you can do more than 12 repetitions you aren't using enough weight and if you can't do 8 the opposite, take this very seriously )

you want to do those exercises without taking a rest in between, you go directly to the next and make it happen.

ok that is pretty much it, that is 1 set and you want to repeat it 3-4 times with no more than 60 seconds of rest in between ( i rest for 20-30 secs to not let myself get too confy ). it should take you less than 30 minutes to complete that routine ( keep and eye on that ), i talked about the reason why on this thread:http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=111020

every 6 weeks you want to take 1 week off to let your body recover from microtears ( again working smart not hard ). i love myself for knowing that.

ok so here my bible:

[x][ ][x][ ][ ][x] [ ] repeat

those represent the days i strength train without fail and this is what i do:

bench press 8 reps, 15 pop and lock sit ups ( dont count those but i do them to push some cardio and keep intensity high, also your legs muscles are huge, having them not burn calories for you is silly ), dumbell curls 10 repetitions, catch and release 16 repetitions ( 8 per arm but is more like 1 move so i like saying 16 ),dumbell rows 12 repetitions and repeat set 3 times.

takes me around 25 minutes to complete that and doesnt fail to break a 'dripping' sweat.
