Why do YOU hate botters?

Maybe this is in appropriate maybe not based on the topic. How many of you would bot if you could? I hear people all the time saying they cant afford it or are too young to have a way to buy one. Is it because some of you are jealous that the bots can afford to bot?

Nobody will admit they would consider botting because chances are that they will get banned from forums

why do you even play this game then?
anything you do pvp and pve is smashing buttons.

I hate botters because they suck donkey sh1t from the decaying rectums of bovines. And then...get to post. They don't deserve a voice or be treated any better than a computer program.

They detract from MY enjoyment of a graphically great game. I have to spend MORE time logging in. (and don't give me the buy a PT crap, since if I do, I log in fine...then play with computer programs. I don't want that.) I want to play with people who are as mentally retarded as me. I.e. hit0kiri, and Host(I had a boob job)age.

I hate botters because:
1. They buy my items that I stalled overnight, thus making me rich.
2. Sometimes they stall items that no legitimate player has.
3. They provide hunter/thief war at East Gate Donwhang
4. They are competition: Guild wars, fortress wars, hunter/thief wars, trade runs, thief runs, etc.
5. And finally, they motivate me to level up.

Hmm I'll think of some more reasons of why I hate botters.

A. Bot to 80, then kill you and go "NOOP" when they barely understand the basics of the game. I remember when there was that huge banlist when euro came out...people were complaining that their fingers hurt, ffs.

B. They cause server traffic. Self explanatory.

C. They jack up the market (some of them, especially gold buyers and gold botters).



Now, I'm not going to claim i don't have friends that bot, to be honest my best friend IRL is a botter. However, it still annoys me a bit when i can't log in

I guess this sort of means I am an old man, but I think that most of the people that play SRO are in the generation Y. I am a early X or whatever you call it. When I was growing up we were just about as poor as you can be. All the things I have in life are there because I have earned them. so in real life you could say that I am legit. If in real life you have everything handed to you, given to you, ie. a new car, computer, money etc. - why not expect the same from a video game?

Back in the day, there was a real stigma against botting. If you wanted to be part of the community, you had to be legit. Botters were shunned and made fun of, when they got caught, most of them just quit the game.

Now, the opposite occurs. People are OK with botters and they proliferate. Bringing back the stigma is the first step in stemming the flow. Sure, it doesnt solve the problem. We all know that wont happen. Strong, united legit guilds taking over their servers and forums will help the problem.

Let me ask you this..do you enjoy grinding on the same monsters day after day to gain sp/exp?

What is this game about ? You have a variety of stuff to do.
I know some people that stay lvl50 and just stay in town and chat.
Others cape pvp.
Other job war
Other trade/thief/hunt
other go train and gain a little more exp/sp
If your bored of leveling just take a break.
YOU dont need to bot 24/7. You DONT need to play 24/7 or stay logged in 24/7.

When Im done with exp ticket and parties I just log off. Thats the way to do it.
If you feel doing trades or anything else you stay on.

I hate bots, I hate them because they are not people, dont tell me that they will own you when they cap out or fully farm because they wont. THEY CANT euro is made for that to kill bots.

I go purple every night when training on surrounding bots that are babysitting. Yeah they TRY to kill but they cant its ironic to see when they zerk they hit me for 631crit with a glavie.
I just laugh at them and how pro they are.
Then get them kill with party mobs or better murder them.
Even when they come back to TRY to kill me they cant, so I usually grind off murder =D

I dont like the type of ppl that cant kill you in zerk before, and then they bot to lvl 77 (when your lvl 72) and buy loads of gold.
After that they keep "owning" you in pvp and think they are cool =P its just sad ^^

Also i think bots are kinda a waste of money, since you pay for being afk ...

I thought I would answer some of those hard to answer questions.
I enjoy grinding, but not any grinding. Grinding at lvl 78-80 is really boring because I don't have to worry about survival, but I really enjoyed my time in the caves where there were no bots around. Just trying to survive by killing, evading etc was fun. Party grinding at generals when your party avg lvl is 70 was fun. Grinding at cap...not very fun, it's too easy. That's why I play a wizard, surviving from the unexpected is fun for me. Grinding on my chinese was horrible, and even then it wasn't that bad when I did higher level mobs.

Bots prevent me from grinding, party grinding, having enough mobs to endanger my life...that's a reason to hate them. They take my fun away.
Server traffic is the biggest reason probably. See legit cause trafic, but that's what the game was made for, legits who actually play and you can interact with, party etc. With more legits you get more fun. I've partied with ppl who botted in the party and I ended up kicking them because if they are going to bot, might as well leave my party mobs alone, or not leech xp, etc.
More legits => more ppl to party with => more people to actually talk with => more fun, so if servers were full...or even 50% full of legits, the game would be way more fun.

Well, at a lower level special they ks you a lot >.< since they are everywhere ^^ lvl 64+ goldbots at 51 mons and so lol.
at my previous char i could actualy grind at mugijs, atm thats not possible anymore ^^ since for every muigij there are 2/3 goldbots.

I suspect alot of people who say "I dont mind the bots" are not competitive players who play to win.

You can only get beat down so many times by someone who bots, ebays or buys goldand has far better gear than you, and much more skill points than you, and did it in less than half the time.
