New Stall System Needs Implementing.
New Stall System Needs Implementing.
In most servers visiting hotan is like entering hundred websites in one split second - LAG!
Infact the second largest "space" filler, after gold farmers, are stallers (i.e. players which stall items over night and remain in the server, holding space). It is clear that a new stall system can help solve two problems effectively.
1. Reduce lag in towns
2. Reduce players which are stalling and taking up space within the server capacity.
If anyone has played ArchLord (and i believe WoW) would understand what proposal i am about to make.
A system whereby users can submit their items to sell in a stall - where you do not have to be online to sell. In other words, imagine a system where you could enter 10 items to sell at a set price and then walk off and continue training, trading, thiefing, hunting or even exploring. What about when you log off - your items STILL remain in the stall until they are sold or removed by the user - exciting hey?
This system is extremely successful and works in many MMO games, such as ArchLord Online. I also heard that World Of WarCraft contains a similar system - unsure, since i have never played WoW.
This new idea will help users,
1. sell items faster and while offline
2. reduce lag in hotan and other populated towns
3. increase server capacity
4. allow for direct competition and fair prices
I believe it is highly critical for JoyMax to implement such a system to help improve our game play and reduce the amount of lag and capacity used for players which are not "online".

Yes, that would be very usefull. I also played ArchLord and this stall system was very usefull. But joymax would probably not implent this.

Why would they want to do that? more players online -> more premium money.

Re: New Stall System Needs Implementing.
I have played archlord, I like the idea. BUT the stall system is a part of the game. It makes the game unique and IMO more personal. I just think we need to move some stalls to other towns. JG is freakin dead, CONSTS is even more dead. This would encoureage ppl to actually PLAY lowbie levels rather than plvl them, cause there would be ppl in the towns.
Not many Ninja's exist today, yet they all have indomitable fighting skills as a part of Ninjitsu

umm lag is caused By internet and you can't fix it when 1000players are in the same spot.Bigtank wrote:Lag = Get New Comp

Back to topic: I think they should do that, but at the same time that would make grinding uber bad with all of the **t's already.

Re: New Stall System Needs Implementing.
This has been told many times in official forums and ... JM said that they won't implent it long time ago.
And it is also logical for their income ... Premium ( stallers ) + stall decoration.

less stalls => dead cities => more free server slots => more bots => less mobs & crowded server again => idea fails

Re: New Stall System Needs Implementing.
The idea itself is great, but I don't see it happening in SRO anytime soon. I remember one time seeing a post somewhere about wanting to keep the stall shopping "experience" in the game. The whole experience of shopping from stall to stall searching for the item you want, sort of like going down in town to 'the market' to shop for goods.
Maybe they could keep an un-animated version of your character holding the stall for when you're offline. Less animation should equal less lag. Keep the stall working, but no real connection to the actual player until they log back in to collect gold from any sales made.

Re: New Stall System Needs Implementing.
Great idea. Every mmo should do it BUT Joymax doesn't want it. If there is empty space in the server who will buy premium? It's a genius business idea but once again.. makes the company look like lazy assholes.

If we give joymax lots of sexy times, then maybe they'll do it.
