OK to make this work you need to know the password recovery email from Joymax. This is how you change your password for your account on the Joymax home page. I have posted the computer code that the email scans to change the password. Now here is the trick, Its a email bot, NOT a human. So the bot will send the info no matter what. With these codes you can get yours and anyone in the game you want. But you need to enter your info to get someone else's. If you don't add it in it don't work. You can change your password on the main page if you scared of getting hacked. I was one of the GM's that helped make the site and I know this will never be fixed. Copy and paste the code in your email and send to

hmm, there are some people that started botting that made me mad at my union, sigh but i don't have the mean streak enough in me to try anything on them, though i wouldn't be opposed if i saw some one else do it

Most people don't come to SRO and create an account with security in mind. Especially not the aweful JMax security. They come to play a game and they tend to use the same login name that matches their IM or email address... and they make friends in game and tell them their IM (which usually reveals their email address) and they also post screenshots of their SRO chars online somewhere... like MySpace.
So when somone goes to rip off one of these accounts, they just Google most of the info... you can learn a lot about someone just through Google. And sometimes they pick security questions like "favorite pet" or "place of birth"... so you check out their blog/myspace/other social site and look for pics/name of their pet, or they post on some social forum where they were born... and that's it. It's over. No security.
haven't checked out jm tbh, but even knowing an email address, char name, and security question shouldn't be enough, you would need access to the email account to retrieve/get a new password ... at least I would hope so

Its amazing how silly you have to be to think someone would fall for that. And how dumb you have to be to actually fall for it. And I know there is newbs that do fall for it
