Hi, im originally from the old uo, and i wonder if i can loot ppl i have killed thats because all ppl comming from uo always want to freeloot everything :p. and if not, wtf is it good for? do i collect crappy points which are good for nothing? or random drops? whatever plz tell me! thank you and have fun taber
oh i figured out that there are three ways for legal pvp plus the one where u just kill someone due to his uglyness.
are there differences in loot type? like i get their cape when i capefight someone and win?
PvP what is it good for - loot?

Capefights are just for fun, see who is stronger, you don't gain anything other then your "status" and lose a lot of pots in the proces..
You can job too (hunter/thief/trader) if you kill an opposite job you get jobpoints and you can lvlup your hunter/thief/trader which is basically only for the "status" anyways.
Would kinda suck if you would drop stuff if you died in pvp, then nobody would pvp
I only pvp for fun and for the "status" not for points or anything, mad fun to waste 500k worth of pots in a few hours

when it comes down to job pvp, alot of money is on the line, and you do get xp, and yes some items drop sometimes from people
when it comes to cape pvp, its basicly pointless, and wastes money, though it can be fun if you can get close lvl opponents, which on mercury every one is about mid lvled so its pretty good finding a decent pvp match with capes, i don't cape around that much, though one of my guild mates likes to wear her orange cape around because of looks, some times i'll randomly put on my cape and kill her before she turns around and kd's my ass, its all good fun, but pvp around city gates is usually not that fun, but there are times when it is.
When you have a pair of warriors chasing after you, since you just earth nuked them mid fight, that can be fun, i'm surprised they chased me down long enough for me go invisible, just depends on how fair the pvp is on how fun it can be, when you are on and older server way out classed by some 8th degree jerk that's just 1 hitting every one, thats no fun, but when its contestable thats when it get intresting, but you can't consider most cape fights a true test of skill and build, only thru jobbing can you truly know the players abilities

A man once said, "Fear is contagious". So then the same must hold true for courage.
The Roar of a Crowd begins with one man.
thanks a lot for you answers. I havent touched jobbing so far, because i just started playing sk ( lvl 16 rogue on mercury ) and i am still confused with all the stuff that seems to be possible and also it seems to be far more complex in comparism with wow or lotro ( which ist good! )
anyway i'd prefer pvp where u loose some stuff but im still looking forward to it.
