We have to start after Labor Day. State Law. Sept 5th is the freshmen's first day, and Sept 6th is everyone else's.

Same as everyone else.
Our ISD used to start extremely early compared to all the other school districts, usually around August 2nd-4th. It was great because then we got let off earlier as well, and all the other kids would be in school, leaving places like Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor all empty. No lines, no anything.
But how we're starting on the 27th like normal folk do.

lol High school is the biggest waste of time. Do good in it, but don't bust your ass. You'll still end up pulling some shitty full time min. wage job until you save up enough to truck it to college. IF you go to college.
