Connections and wires causes pop-ups or virus?
Recently I've brought my computer over to my uncle's house and i got pop-ups around every 5-10 min. I never get pop-ups when i play at home though. Could the wires and other connections be the cause of this?

There's no way wires and cables can sunndenly produce pop ups. There may have been something that sneaked into your computer via downloading by your browser while you were surfing an unsafe website.
Update and run your spyware definitions again. Also update your virus definitions. It will take some time if your computer has huge storage capacity.
