Change Characters Name?

I first created my character when the game came out but then went for a long spell not playing. I recently started playing again but my caracter is under a name I have not used for a long time.

I wanted to change it and saw this on the silkroad site..

So like.. I click it and it lets me choose my character from the server list and.. nothing..

Then if I try again it says I cant change it twice in 24hrs.
Am I misunderstanding what this option is meant to allow me to do

And if so is there any way to change my name!

This is not to change your acual characters name. I thought that was what is was for a while as well. What that does is it allows you to select differant character names on the site in order to change the avatar and signature for each of your characters on the site.

Ah.. thanks.. but does that mean theres no way to change a characters name?

no, there's no way to do that, unfortunately.
