It's not a bad imbue, but not strongest and to be honest the I THINK lighting imbue should be for nukers really becuase if your STR you don't hit for shit when your blader and Glavie could become just as bad... :)

Lightning status reduces a players Parry ratio making you able to do consecutive high damage, so I dont see why people would think its bad.

I'm going off on a tangent in regards to the first post, but I think lightning was made for archers.

Grasswalk - gain a distance from enemies (since archers don't have any major defensive skills yet)

Reduce parry ratio - to make the enemy move slower (also another thing that can help archers with no shield and lower hp than glaive build)

And NPC archers use lightning, maybe that does suggest it's for archers.

Lightning does not reduces their moving speed, their parry ratio contributes to how much damage someone takes, reducing it means they'll take more damage consecutively.

Nukers don't need light imbue, we have enough AoE attacks to draw a decent crowd to grind on. Which is why I think STR's should use light, they need to attract multiple mobs to keep a steady grind pace. I've never played an STR char so don't know much about glavier's or bower's, but seems to me they would benefit most from light imbue.

I would also recommend Lightning as an imbue for pure strength, and use fire for the physical attack passives and magical defense buffs, sure Lightning may have a lower damage rating than the fire imbue but you will do more damage with the lightning effect itself, because it will automatically reduce parry ratio, and if your a glaivier it even passes on effects like stun as an area attack.

light rocks.. pass more stun and knockdown effects for str

and useful for int who are using light/cold instead of light/fire when the mana shield skills out

I was fire and switched to Light on my Glavie character. It doesnt do that different of damage. The biggest difference is in PvE. How much easier it has become to mob things on you...sometimes too easy. But you ghost spear a group hitting 5 of them, with light imbue you can hit additional ones, dragon spear hits the normal 3 plus aggros anything next to your target. Besides that my 4th mastery is bow for lvl 30, so i have a distance increase as well. So Light + Distance Buff + Glavie = Fun Grinding :)

And in PvP, people pill. But hardly anyone immunes Light. Even for that moment you have their parry down it can be damaging. Fire is helpful for its burn, well it lasts the same time before pilled if they aren't immune to it already.

I have renewed my love for Light imbue, think it was underrated a considerable amount. Would use it for any future STR characters no doubt.

the best force is the one you feel strong with. for me that's lightning. then fire and then Ice

hmm some good ideas here,
i'm kinda sick of fire imbue, it only burns lolz. And since the damage is almost equal...

also i think it can come in handy that you can stun 2-3 people at once.
downside: when fighting uniques you will get all of the spawns on your head lolz
CAPPED, but not farmed :/

Fire is the most important mastery for str based builds (buff, passive) so why delevel the imbue?
you probably will always have fire as your highest mastery as a str based build so why not just use the imbue? (cause of the extra % damage you will have by maxing the mastery to 80 or even 90)

wondering why you want lightning mastery that high anyway as a str build?

you have a dual weapon mastery build, i suggest you just delevel light when you hit the cap and use drugs for movement speed.

It can transfer a stun from the mob you are targetting to another next to it, but i dont believe you can stun more then one. Would be insane if you could...

im a heavey int hybrid spear and i love lightning. I can tank pretty decent so my imbue while using physical moves and my nukes draws lots of attention to me for easy grinding.

And sense i don't really have any trouble killing glaviers my level(no sosun or course) i would say it does enough damage in pvp since ints damage is already so high.

rofl, the majority of people have maxed out fire shield. So even if you do shock them (1/4 chance), pills will take care of it almost immediatly. o_o So you may have time to get in maybe 1...2 enchanced hits.

Imagine someone critting hard when your parry is down, yea would be quite some damage...

And there are so many other advantages of having lightning as your primary force, for one you'll have the peircing force buffs making your imbue even stronger, you'll have the grass walk skills by default, you'll also have parry increase as a passive, its not a force to be passed up just because its not common, its a risky build, but if done right it can really be dangerous.

I actually like it more then fire. The transfer, sounds, splash and this kinda shit is stuff that i love about it. Fire imbue is just boring.
