i hate the word "tolerance".
i hate "religious tolerance".
i hate "racial tolerance".
i hate "tolerating different genders".
i hate "tolerating different sexual orientations".
are people of different religions, of different backgrounds, of different genders, of different sexual orientations something to be "tolerated"?
"tolerance": the power of enduring or resisting the action of a drug, poison, etc.: a tolerance to antibiotics; leeway for variation from a standard; the permissible deviation from a specified value of a structural dimension, often expressed as a percent.
i "tolerate" disease. poisons. annoyances. disturbances. i "tolerate" the 2am pool parties next door. i "tolerate" that early-morning phone call.
i "tolerate" hatred.
i do not "tolerate" those of different religions, races, genders, or sexual orientations.
i embrace them.
