Hybrid?

Right now I am lv 53 pure int s/s build. I'm really tempted to go Hybrid with only Lightning and Heuksal+bicheon. I love the dual build and since I want to go the best out of the dual build I could just go Hybrid.
What should I do? Will my dmg increase when I go hybrid(Using weapon skills)? I want to get like 90% magical balance naked or something in that direction, would I still get some nice HP bonus or do I need to get more STR?
Any dual lightning hybrids here?

okay, first 90% for dual weapon is WAY too high, the spear passive will boost ur hp and ull have spear to nuke so u can lax ur int balance a bit, however when u switch to spear u dont have block, so drop that int % (<86%)

I definitely don't want to go any lower than 85% anything below that is just rubbish and can't perform good in either mastery IMO. I've seen hybrids with 2:1 stats and that's absolutely NOT where I want to go. 9:1 would have my preference or something like that.

just a thought, duals can't be effeciently supported at 90 cap (so i've heard).

it can if you drop a force for a wep tree =P

friend is 2:1 hybrid and really strong (maybe cuz of the sos set to =P )

I'm pure int with about 9 str I think...got 111% mag balance.

85%-90% would be nice for a hybrid dual wep nuker thingy I think =)

I do not know much about dual builds, or pure ints. I do know about hybrid sword though. The general rule is as soon as you add str your damage goes down in direct proportion to your increase in hp. That is the fundamental principle to this game. That is how they keep a balance to the different builds. The only reason people think weapon skills arent strong for pure ints, is because they are to busy nuking.

Im curious How do you grind right now with only 1 nuke?

nuke + lion shout or do you use weapon skills?

The more str you add the more you will rely on your weapon skills because your nuke will be weaker. Your weapon skills should not become stronger.

well right now I still have fire tree so I have two nukes even though I one shot the shades. I always go for nuke+shout or just nuke. Two nukes takes too long IMO.

then go 85%, gear wil get u up to 97% is it? ull need to go for a nice set of prot though

It kind of sounds like you like being pure int.

Hybrids don't gennerally go for 1 nuke kills since there nuke is weakened.

Keep at 88-90% with the dual. Do not lower below that, cause your bich skills will lack in damage.

Cause I get 1-hit by a glaive two levels under me, that's really pathetic. I need more HP and same attack power

remember once you add str you cant go back and since we are coming closer to the 90 cap your dual weapon build is nice.

i guess you are in a hard pvp level for pure ints, wait couple levels experiment with the character builder and the sticky topics with the different stats of hybrids then try to make up your mind when YOU MUST add str to get a decent hybrid of your choice.

You can't have both I am sorry

Don't be afraid to go hybrid for more hp, but you will loose attack power.
In my opinion it is an even trade.

If you do go hybrid, don't plan on 1 hitting monsters. But you will farm on higher lvl mobs so it equals out in XP per hour.
