Favorite microwave food

Post by Blackchocob0 »

Aight most of you being people who not only can't cook well but second don't want to 'waste' or 'spend' the time, I'm sure we all appreciate microwavable food like burritos, corn dogs, philly cheese steaks, jimmy dean breakfast sammiches, pizza, etc.

So what's your favorite nuked quickie? Personally, I'm gonna say it's a tie between philly cheese steaks and burrito's.
Peace.

Leftovers. I don't microwave stuff. If I've got nothing else, I'll eat some fruit.

Though, I would have to say bacon is the best thing to microwave. You get the awesomeness of bacon, but without the nasty clean-up of trying to fry it on the stove. :D

LoL.. u just gotta know how to do it right is all.. Don't just throw it in their and nuke away. Wrap with plastic cling wrap, use fork to poke holes into potato through the wrap, nuke 5-7 mins, unwrap, etc etc. Tastes just as good IMO.. but hey if you want you could always throw your taters in the oven when you wake up and hope they're done by dinnertime :)

While some of the claims made in these emails are questionable at best, food safety experts do agree that consumers should take the following precautions when using plastic wrap or plastic containers in a microwave oven:

1. Only plastic containers or packaging labeled "Microwave Safe" should be used in microwave ovens.

2. If plastic wrap is used when microwaving, it should not be allowed to come into direct contact with food.

<snip>

It must be noted that while the plastics industry and government health agencies in both the U.S. and Europe currently maintain that chemicals migrating into food from plastic wraps and containers pose no human health threat, consumer and environmental groups say otherwise. Both sides support their case by citing a lack of concrete evidence. The FDA argues that no studies have yet demonstrated toxic effects on humans; consumer advocates argue that not enough studies have been done.

Virtually all sources do agree on one important point: Consumers can and should protect themselves when using plastic products in the microwave by following the basic precautions stated above.
