Finding SOXes?

Umm is it true that killing magyans (or w/e they are called, the 1st star monsters) probably your best bet for finding SOXes?
That they drop any lvl SOX because of some glitch?

Not true. Monsters drop items their lvl and sox one lvl higher.

Monsters can drop anything, to be honest. I've seen penons drop a level 1 spear (not even SOS). I once killed an earth ghost at level 36 and it dropped a level 34 ring. I also killed a black tiger at level 12 and got level 18 SOM boots. It's totally random, though the monster is most likely to drop an SOS item a couple of levels below the level of the items they normally drop.

Hmmm...i dunno bout the penon fighter, but monsters can drop anything...A friend of mine (lvl 16 or 17) found a 21+3 sos suit from a black tiger.
Another buddy found 32 sos gloves from a huygno ghost(he was 25)...never got a very low lvl drop(eg sword lvl1 from lvl 30 mob) but i suspect it could be possible..although it is probably as rare as a SoX drop....

That's why i still kill scorpions expecting to get my 52+7 SoSun spear ^_^.

Usually mobs drop non sos equipment up to their level. So for ex. bandit archers will never drop anything except level 10 weapons unless it's sos.

I'm not kidding. The Penon dropped a level 1 spear with 100% mag attack.

it does nto have to be the same lvl as the monster.

i personnaly got lvl 28 garm pants from a t giant

Monsters can drop SoX items of three degrees: the degree they coincide with and 1 degree below or above.
So lets say it's possible to get a lvl 1 SoX spear (degree 1) as well as lvl 21 SoX suit (degree 3) from monsters who are lvl 8-15 (as they coincide with degree 2).
It's also possible to get lvl 24-51 SoX (degree 4-6) drop from a 32-41 monster.

But its the first time i ever heard of a degree 7 mob like Penon dropping a lvl 1 item.... Let alone not a SoX one.... I dont think the same "three degrees" rule applies to normal npc items.
I think someone pulled a fast one on you here....

About sox drops hm i get 19 sos coronet from bandit archer(lvl13) and i get 17 sosun talisman from hyongcheon soldier (lvl 23) so! its about hes lvl! or maybe hes degre! My freind get 1 lvl som hood from waterghost(lvl7 i geuse)
so its i think depends from degre! But other friend get 32 sos bow from gun poder! i think he lied! but maybe! So i think just go grinde you may not get any sox drop for even 30 lvls my this char 42 had only one sox 17 sun tali thats all! I hope more come soon
