Our turn to create a game

I can make and run Websites. I use to be a website designer and coder. I CAN make the website and forums with its own server.

JAVA

Now, we need someone with some $$$ to rent a game server holding 300+ people for beta testing.

we will start as a closed beta i think, so we dont need to pay for a website, just a free one to send us mails and to say what the game is about =P

when it comes like a open beta, in the 2nd month we will add payable options to improove the game leveling and fun, i dont know how to do this =D maybe we have to contact paypal but i dont know how to use it =(.

then we start collecting money, we do a better web site, oficial forums and a forum that everybody says its not oficial but we can do it, because advanced players usually dont go to an official one =P.

and then we start collecting money, maybe we can get some friends to start working by some money, then we get expert ppl, and then we try to make bots dont enter into the game =)

You know, you can sign up for David Perry's project at http://topsecret.acclaim.com/ -- although I must warn you, you'll have lots of competition and I don't get the feeling everyone will be invited to provide content.

Too many people signed up. Very little chance to get accepted.

Would be nice if we started our own mmorpg up xD

I or someone else could make a site and we can donate via paypal to a "fund"

hmm, by the looks of it i think jabo thinks this is going to be quick and easy, well, let me tell you that its not. Most games that come out now take a VERY long time to create and most of them already have a pre-built graphics and physics engine that the company bought of someone else, or a tweaked version of an older graphics and physics engine. IF you want to make that all from scratch then its gonna take a while. I already have the code for a very high quality graphics engine but its not all mine so i cant quite use it at the moment.

If this does ever kick off properly (which i doubt) i can always make a subdomain here (http://www.innovacious.co.uk) for the game.
