Swtiching from SWORD to SPEAR???

i was just thinking and im only level 28 and my bicheon skill is at 17 while my heuksal is at 13 (noob mistake)

but i am really thinking about switching to spear now after wathing 1337 youtube spear full INT users.

im close to getting the nukes and theyd do more damage with a spear equipped, but not having a shield for extra defense would really hurt.

im wearing protectors right now and if i switch id switch over to armors.

is there any downside switching from sword + shield to spear?? other than the defense.

pleasssseee help.

and i know kd+stab pwns, im pwning with it right now. what should i doooo

go spear/ss/fire/light

70/70/80/80

or decrease spear to 50 and get light/fire 90

stick with sword+shield

you can add more int to your gear..

you can KD + Stab people (trust me the Last book of stab is total Ownage)

And you be able to attack/Knock Glavier faster before they can stun you..

pick which one you like both have their ups and downs, choose which one you have most fun with. if you like to pvp pure int spears die really fast, they are good at doing dmg in group pvp but everyone goes for u and u die pretty fast mostly. thats why a lot of spear users are going hybrid, still good dmg with a lot of life (for an int). if u go spear i would get ice to 60 for def buff+ passive if u go sword and shield i would get spear lvl 60 for hp passive, no ice.

i mean if im gonna pwn it has to be with style right? swords arent looking too cool in the 20's it looks like im carrying around a poking stick compared to the blade people are carrying around.

bah this is so tough, i could take smurfs advice and avoid walking solely down one road.

heuksal has the passive (more health) and spear has stun moves so that the enemy cant move while u nuke them to dust (kinda like kd) also ghost spear is an instant attack right after a nuke and does like 2/3 damage a nuke does so for instance i hit 9k nuke and mars for 6k more thats 15k instant damage i love my spear

If your pure INT stick whit sword. I would go protector, fire, light & bicheon 80 / heuk 60.

Altho hybrid is more fun whit spear. I always get good fun for killing str/glaives and they bitching about lag

Also i got tired of S/S...was to low dmg as a hybrid anyway.

hmm and the bicheon passive is more blocking ratio

at max level how much hp should i expect to get from the heuksal passive, and max block ratio %+ from the bicheon?

also, i see really cool slashes from sword users, like they hit a lot of times and spin in the air and stuff. what skill is that?? it looks like a good deal of damage done quick :roll:

, i assume the heuksal series has a similar skill..?

Obviuosly ?You have a SOX or +++ spear but compare it with a SOX +++ Sheild AND Sword...... yup total obliteration

It will have a Way better defence + BR

And It will Nearly do as much damage as a SOX spear...

Its all about the gear >.>

reallynice skill hehe good for grinding huh or for show... but it's not deadly as kd/stab, but it can do some nice damage, fats attack+imbue= good damage

my old character, Dem, was going to go into bicheon, had soem heuksal too, it was messed but i planend a fix.

Bicheon 70
Heuksal 40 (hp boost only)
Ice 50 (defensive buffs)
Light 50 (parry/grass/ghost)
fire 90 (preplanned for 90 cap, woot)

300/300

seems like its used a lot during pvp.

so let me get this straight are nukes really that great in pvp? youll most likely be really close to the other person and nukes would take too much time so even for a full INT its wise to get chains and kd-stab right?

bladers ----- mainly use chains,KD,stab

i dont think it's advisable to use chains in pvp, no matter if you're int or str

also, it's not advisable to only nuke for pure ints.

spear int is easy now, since there are new pots x-large... i had this spear int guy doing 10k damage to lvl 66 blader garment while the int guy was lvl 67.. and he still had 6.5k hp so, as already has been said 'its all about the equipment (+ the pots aswell

I would go for spear, you could have close to 8-9k hp with 100% hp and str on your gears at level 70, +5 all your gears. Then you are in a really good shape and your attack power owns. A nuke + ghost spear can kill any build at your level most of the time.

go for both. use spear for things u can one hit and sword for things u cannot, u need the parry and blocks from the sword in this case.

i guess it will cost u quite a bit more but...i think its worth it
