best PVP character.
best PVP character.
hello
I am new to the game. I have heard about sp farming so now I am level 10 with no skills added and all stats into strength. I want to build a PVP character and was wondering what stats I should invest. Basically the best PVP build.
Also what should I do with the SPs that I have now?
thanks

ok:
if you want to make an str glavie which is the best in pvp, put all of your stat points into str, and do it everytime you level up.
Your main masteries should be fire, and huskel(or bicheon if your a blader)
however if you want to be a decent player you will have to sp farm so you can lvl up cold and light.
and no bladers are not the best for pvp

Blade or Glaive would make great pvp characters and each has their own advantage. Bladers can tank better than glaives with the shield which makes them hard to kill. Glaives can work better in team pvp than bladers because other people can hit stunned targets. Personally i perfer bladers vs glaives in the pvp aspect due to the fact theyre very difficult to kill but also consider bladers are the slowest lvling build.
If you need guides on those builds there should be some floating around the forums.

Blades are slowest to lvl because their dmg isnt that great, though if u pvp a glaive and used KD/stabs ur dmg will be pretty close depending on other factors of course but mainly because bladers have the extra defense. But for pvm glaives can usually hit harder than a blader. But if u dont mind the slower lvling definately become a blader. I have alot of fun w/ my current one at the moment.
As for sp farming, IMO best times to farm are lvl 16 and lvl 64. At lvl 16 u wanna do the same old farming at bandit den w/ a bow and having a 9 gap (as in keeping ur HIGHEST mastery 9 lvls below your current level) and i recommend doing most of ur farming then, most likely you wont be able to farm as fast at any other levels. I also like lvl 64 for farming (which im doing right now) because even w/ a 9 gap u still have all the mobbing skills u need, as in 2nd book knockdown and 2nd book sword dance which can help speed up grinding. Plus at lvl 64 u get a new degree wep and the spawns in caves are pretty good for mobbing.
As for blade skills, id get all the skills except for smashing series (though get it for the early levels but only 1st book lvl 1) and the castle shield series is optional. As for fire, get all but fire wall series and flame wave series, and fire shield is optional to what u want to lvl it up to but its very useful for being immune. Personally i perfer fire shield king lvl 2.
Also id consider getting sub trees with your build. My current one is a 90/90/68/52 build, as in those are my mastery limits for all my force at a lvl 90 cap (which is what Ksro and other sros have). The 2 90s are for bicheon and fire, the lvl 68 is for light and the lvl 52 is for ice. If you perfer you could just add light as a sub tree.

Get ur skills to lvl 7 and stop there. It doesnt matter that u wont have a 9 gap from now till lvl 16 because ull be making much more sp from lvls 16-18 (ull have to delvl alot to get large amounts of sp). Also it helps alot to get bow just for the farming period because getting bow to lvl 7 w/ the skills wont cost u much sp at all and is cheap to delvl when u need to free up masteries.
I always lvl skills up if i got the sp for it. If u try 0 gapping w/o being farmed u most likely wont be able to lvl up all ur skills but it does help alot damage wise if u do. Also u need to max out a skill in order to get the next book anyway for some skills but i would only keep first book snake dance series at lvl 1 because u only need lvl 1 for 2nd book which IMO is better.

So that you can continue to be able to farm off bandit archers. At lvl 19 they become blue so at lvl 18/19 u want to delvl urself back to 16 so that bandit archers are still green. If u did lvl 16-18 w/ a 9 gap ull only make something like 7k-9k sp not too sure but u wanna farm much more than that (25k-30k sp minimally, 50k+ recommended).

so when the computer calculates ur mastery skill it calculates the one that is higher right? not all ur masteries added up..( for instance u have 5 fire and 5 blade. does that mean that u have 10 mastery or just 5?)

If your talking about the mastery limit then yes it does add up to your total mastery limit.
However i was talking about a mastery gap, which is the gap inbetween your current level and your highest mastery. In that case they dont add up, as in you could have only 2 masteries, both at lvl 7, and ull still have the same gap as someone with all 7 masteries all at lvl 7. This is used to determine how much sxp and exp u get a kill, 0 being the most exp and least exp and 9 being the most sxp and least exp (max gap is 9)
