Pure int Spear or Sword/shield ?

spear or sword shield? reasons..

right now i have heuksal in lvl 41, fire 43, light 43, cold 30 and i use armor
I have a sword and shield.I've heard that it's good to use spear when grinding and sword/shield when fighting stronger mobs or uniques...pvp maybe
what about cave?
should i just use spear? or just sword/shield or both?
would it be nice to have heuksal in hight lvl for the HP bonus and ghost spear and soul spear and bichheon in lvl 0. just use sword shield for the defense sometimes

what do u think?^^ help

I would get go S/S and get a shield with good block ratio like 17+. Since your pure int, make sure you add HP and Str Tablets to your gear. It is true, you grind faster with spear, but if you get outnumbered or aggroed by monsters, you will die fast unless you have good gear. The only difference I see between Pure Int S/S and Spear when grinding is that Spear can 1 hit mobs and Sword can 2 hit(Nuke+Lion Shout) or 1 hit depending on their gear. You will have higher sucess with S/S in PvPing. Hope that helps.

I have a spear and a sword/shield now, but my bicheon is at 0..heuksal is at 41..

is it crap to use both? should i sell my spear and stick to sword/shield and start to learn bicheon? hmm help

what about using spear for grinding and sword in cave... sword from lvl 60 and up maybe.

you dont have to have any bich skills, just use your nukes, and grind with s/s

I would recommend Spear for grinding and S/S for PVP.

Fire arrow spells 2nd book gives you aoe, and spears too... Makes grinding very effective.

Full INT with Spear you should be able to grind at mobs red to you. I was grinding with Mujigis/Ujigis (LVL48?) since LVL45. 2 hit them.

get sword for sure if u wanna save ur ASS
firstly whats the point of getting spear ? more damage ? a little more damage does not matter.

second if u get sword u can save for some points if someone who is full str attack u u can block at least with that 400+ defence increase.
u are already a full int no point getting mag defence increase since ur are strong .even those int damage wont hurt u much.
if u get sword u still can save some sp and get the skill which knockdown others.that would save ur ass from being whack for sure

Your weapon of choice is all about.. well, choice!
If you like spear, go with it. There are numerous advantages that come with going spear, for example, ghost spears knockback and soul spears stun (you already know this, since youre spear)

But if you go sword, you get knock-downs, blocks and stabs. Even the combos are pretty neat but not sure if you'd want them.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to preference, but I think using spear for grinding and sword+shield for pvp/jobbing/unique is a great idea.

lol first of all u dont have to delvl ur spear skills so jsut grind on u nukes wid s/s and try pving wid s/s and then try spear and compaire but i think that a s/s and a shield with a high br will rokk !!

Stick with spear since it's already at 41, if you try and add bicheon, you won't have enough mastery levels for all your force skills at cap. Grind with your spear as it does more damage but definately try and find a shield with a good BR to use for PvP when you get KD'd and they're trying to stab you.
