Because they don't know how to play. After all, they're SP farmers.
Also, if they're farming stuff thats higher level, it might be needed.

I just started to gather my equipment, and have a SoM hood lvl 12 (3 int 1 str), 2x SoS ring (one with 3 str 2 int) other has to be worked on, lvl 16 Wrist SoS (3 int 2 str) and thats prolly it. Why? Cos I'll be using it for a while anyway. (I wont use GT and will be switching between my current char and my farming char. (Ok it will take months. So?))
Making this farming char is just a few millions anyway (I got a SoS Bow+3 from a friend to lend for a while cos he is using a +4 one
)
I have traded some items and stones to get my wealth (ugh its not that much). So why not? It is also nice to show off.
I try to have int and str on all my farm items anyway.
I haven't spend a single dollar/euro on this game so far.
SoS/SoM/SoSun items are better anyway cos you get less damage from monsters if you get hit.

Because with SOM/SOSUN you take absolutely no damage from bandit archers or even bandits, strength/int can be added. SOX cannot. I have an SOM/SOSUN set, complete with an SOM bow.

You barely take any damage at all with regular items too.
True! If you are farming and have a sos bow, you should kill them 1 shot anyway. But why go bandit archers? I want to try to go for 1shot on other monsters too. (If I find a good spawning point why not...)
