1. You talk big but are wrong

3. You think youre a sro expert but in reality youre the opposite.

Tell me something, have you ever tried to make a hybrid STR? and by that i mean at least lv60+? I think your problem is that YOU talk big even though you obviously don't know what the hell your talking about. Look at Tingboy, i've no idea how many points he's put into what, but he's hybrid and he owns my ass, alot of other people too. I created this thread to let people know that if it's done right it can work. If you don't want to listen, that's perfectly fine. But i didn't ask anyone to come in here and insult me for something i belive is truth. If you pulled your head out of your ass and stopped listening to what
other people think, maybe you'd see the facts and realise that it CAN WORK.

EDIT: Your acusation of me "thinking i'm a sro expert," is correct to an extent, i do belive i've played silkroad long enough to know what works and what doesn't work. And i think that this build works. PLease don't try and accuse me of only making this thread so people will mess up there charactors. I would never do such a thing, as i know what's it's like to have to start again from mid-level.

Okay, I read the whole thread and well...I've got to back up my Athenian pals here.

I've watched tingboy & takeshina pvp, they are incredible at pvp. I myself am a str hybrid only at lv 66. My best skill doesn't come until lv 69, the devil arrow. Archers peak out the latest of all the builds so that's kind of the reason why you don't see many high lvl archers in the game.

But really what I want to comment on are people and their attitudes. Takeshina wanted to share his opinion. You don't have to flame it, you can give your own opinion without being a total dick about it. We already know chaud and criterion absolutely hate str hybrids and moderately dislike all other hybrids. But rude comments should not be tolerated. Hybrids in kSRO are serving it up to the pure builds. If you insist on staying pure, by all means, please be owned later on by us hybrids. And bambskiii, I'm digging this thread out just for you. I guess you don't have any good hybrids on your server, w/e server you play on. I see tons and tons of hybrids in Athens. Now you guys are probably going to say "well you guys have crappy pure builds in your server blah blah blah". Well, all builds can be crappy and all builds can be great. No build is superior over all. Simmer down and just ignore these hybrid threads if you don't like hybrids so much. Nobody asked you to blow a cap off about a dam forum post that you absolutely despise. Grow up kid, there are other things in life that you can flame on and have a tantrum. Simply saying the build sucks and totally dismissing any evidence is downright immature and idiotic. Even little kids could comprehend such a matter if you explained to them in simple terms but explained all aspects of each and every build. After all, when you were a kid, didn't you wan't to be the best player on w/e you were competing in? You would want to know how a good player works and why does the good player win all/most of the time.

What ever works at this level cap might change alot later on. Str hybrids will get alot more hp to work with. Int hybrids too. And in the end, it is never about the build. It is about having friends that help eachother out.

I not fully agreed that hybrid will owned at the end of the level cap..
Last night i was pvp with a lv 68 hybrid and i was almost owned by him due to his repeating critical hit on me but i still survive because i'm pure str glavier..
After 5-8 minutes,i managed to owned that lv 68 hybrid player..

Because his hp was low and his damage was low as well...And he only rely on the critical hit to make me hurt more..
After i win,he feel dam piss off and want to have another round..

So we went for another round,the result remain the same...

PURE STR OWNED THE HYBRID...
So i believe that pure str or int still owned this game..

Edit:I am level 65 with a normal garment set all +3

That maybe have something to do with that you have a +7 weapon? and maybe his build wasnt that good. His things could have been npc for all I know. And you dont "own" someone after 8 minutes of pvp. It also has to do if he is farmed or not. hybrid builds seems to do well at lvl 90 cap and so does pure builds.

Jangan = Capital letters and spam whispers and try n start exhange all the time, people who dont speak in capital letters or do these things shouldnt take it, they know they are alright. Ermm...Maybe you are right..I forget my glavie is +7..
Maybe there's something to do with my +7 glavie that cause him to lose in both round.
And i think he is not fully farming yet..

I really start curious now that a hybrid RULEZ at the end of the level cap?! :roll:

looks like hybrid builds are just like marmite.
you love them or you hate them.
I'd like to thank my fellow athens player for his support, and he is correct, weather you agree or disagree with this build, the way to express your opinion is not to be rude.
I would encourage people to at least try the hybrid build before dismissing it completely.

There are many factors which can affect the effectivity of a build. Gear, Skills (SP) and skill of the player. Most of the time, the rich owns the poor. Money is as important in this game as in real life.

Here's the deal;
A pure int at cap looks like this: Pure int but added points in str trough alchy. Lets say the pure has 100 points in int. And then adds 20 points in str via alchy. Then its 100 / 20, int / str.
A int hybid at cap looks like this: Int hybrid but added points in int hrough alchemy. Lets say the hybrid has distributed 80 points in int and 20 in str. And then 20 points in int via alchemy. Here its 100 / 20 too.
It is a difference between pure's and hybrids. But how flarking hard can it be to define the difference. Ill help ya.
A pure int = High damage. Almost no HP. Wich means high dmg and easy to die.
A int hybrid = High damage but not as high as a pure int but has some hp and def.
A 50 / 50 = Not a dmg dealer. Not a tanker. Its a allround build.
A str hybrid = Has good amount of hp. Not as much as a pure str. Does a little more mag dmg.
Pure str = High amount of HP. Is a tanker. Not high dmg without crits.
Get it? All builds can be countered. Go with the build u like and stop flaming about wich build is the best / worst etc. Because there is NO best build.

Whatever else, is something undefined called, Hybrid

However, they both can do well

And because I'm sick of seeing posts asking about the best builds, claiming a build is the best I'm going to lay down the facts.

The best build is one that is fully farmed and has access to lots of silk for alchemy. The stat distribution needs to within reason though obviously.

I have a lvl 60 str-hybrid blader and i just owned a lvl 64 pure str glaviedude.

I've putted 38 points in int, and the others in str.. As long as your physical balance is above 90%, you are ok. Still i regret those points i putted in int, I didnt know what i was doing till lvl 40, and i'm to lazy to start over again.

My opinion: Just know how to use the skills, and youll win every fight, unless you are a 1:1 ofcourse

Maybe hybrid isn't the best build but it is pretty good...

It made perfect sense to me to add 2 str: 1 int until 20 and then i went all str, I didn't need to read this thread to know that. As other people have said 90% phys balance is all you need. The extra int will only further increase your damage output (make your imbue stronger).

I'm only 35 right now but so far so good, plan to add int to all my gear at 50+ when I'll be using it for weeks at a time.

Well good job to whoever else figured it out- +int makes str builds much stronger than +str.

my first character at babel ended up as a str hybrid blader... at level 42 (hunter that time), i came across a level 45+ thief blader too... it took long for him to kill me, i was so busy typing (asking help from union lolz).... that char was not farmed too but she sure did last long..

so i would agree with the topic starter... hybrids are strong too... but i guess hybrid str glaivers are better

i do think int hybrids have all the potential in the world, since i own one myself and don't regret a single str point put in.

Though im not convinced by str hybrids, i've seen some good ones, but came across a shitload of bad ones.

step 1: see what adding in str/int does.
- int
increase mp
increase magical defense
increase magical attack

- hp
increase hp
increase phy defense
increase physical attack

step 2: distribute your stat points in a way that fits you
step 3: have fun with the build that you choose

Every single way of distributing your stat points has pro's and cons.. however I'm tempted to think that hybrid-str's have more con's then pro's. But hey, if that's how you want your char to be; go for it ^^
