You haven't watched alot of anime. Evangelion is better than DBZ in every single way. It has a better soundtrack, better animation, it's not dragged on(10 eps for a Spirit bomb and 20 eps for one fight; 3 episodes of screaming) it does not have tons of episodes, and it has a story. DBZ has close to no plot. In my opinion DBZ is just really a bad anime. I did enjoy it when I was 11. But I've watched more anime and DBZ is just really trash compared with almost every anime out there. Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, Bakemonogatari, Sword of the Stranger, Cowbop Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, to name a few. I could probably list 100 better anime but I'm not gonna bother. Almost every mainstream long running shonen anime is overrated garbage. DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece are overrated garbage. Have fun watching tons of episodes and fillers about the main character defeating the bad guy and moving on to the next enemy. I'll enjoy my well written anime that aren't dragged on to oblivion with tons of episodes.

I've seen quite a good handful of anime for my own sake. Imo, Gurren Lagann is amongst my top favorite and tops the charts over DBZ myself, but over Evangelion.. not really. With newer anime shows coming out, obviously DBZ will never stay at the top, but for those who grew up watching it, most definitely. Plus you cannot compare Gurren Lagann to DBZ, the gap when both were made is just too vast.

Evangelion might be one of your most favorites while DBZ is one of mine. You have your reasons as to why you believe DBZ isn't on par with Evangelion and that's fine. I personally believe DBZ has changed many of our childhood lives and is very iconic towards us and the general population of those whom watched it.

Rofl. You really think DBZ is better than Evangelion? DBZ almost has no story. It has tons of episodes, it's dragged no into oblivion, it's a pretty shitty anime overall. Can you point out a flaw that Evangelion has? Have you watched Evangelion 2.0, 1.0, and The End of Evangelion? I really doubt you have. They are godly movies, everyone who has watched them loved the shít out of them. Evangelion 3.0 is also really good, and 4.0 is coming out this year. It's still discussed on many websites. It has a really great plot, unlike Dragonball Z. DBZ does not have anything on Eva. If you can't see that you don't know anything about anime. Or you're just trolling. Either way, you're not getting anymore replies from me.
