I literally stalked down someone's Twitter to ask for his key because he had Tweeted "Got into the GW2 beta... too bad I won't even play". Made a Twitter , asked him to Follow me so I could PM him lol. When I asked for his key he said "Sorry bro already gave it away", implying that you can play it from any PC. Think about people that have more than one house too (divorced parents, uni, etc.).

Oh this is easy, I watch GuildCast every week at gamebreaker.tv and in the first beta some members that were in the podcast were given keys by people who couldn't play. So the keys aren't attached to accounts ( don't see why they would be ), I think the same applies to the people who helped record footage for TotalHalibut last time, less sure about that one.

Also what would make you think they would go by ip o.O, an ip is something you can change with a click of a button in your modem or by simply using a proxy for regular pro browsing purposes. Not the mention the original guild wars is global. They have stated the 2nd will be as well and all the people who got in last time were from all over the world, don't think location matters in short.

Skyve's Birthday is on march 31st but mine is on the 27th !

Are you sure you want to give the key to your friend who doesn't know nearly as much about the game and isn't going to share his experience here ( or anywhere else making it a lot less memorable overall ), not to mention he is likely one of those bots who can't dodge out of the way

I honestly think this doesn't mean as much for him and after April 10th it won't matter as all pre purchase will be in. This beta in particular is meaningful because it is a window into the future ! Do it for the children.

You have access to all your skills in pvp since lvl 1, you are free to respec as much as you want as well.

Pretty positive you get access to literally everything except fancy skins for your weapons and armor (which you can unlock with Glory). GW always had this philosophy about PvP.

I'll never get to play until release. The only thing I really want to do in the Beta is to figure out if I'll be playing Thief, Ranger or Ele.

It linked to a clean sheet. I'm planning on going with a 30Earth/20Fire/20Arcane build. Arcane actually has some pretty sick traits like enlarged AoEs and bonus condition attached to the element you cast.

Btw the stuff you mentioned on the arcane tree only works with certain skills that have long cooldowns, so the dps gain from that isn't good at all.

Kinda disliking the extra magic find but yeah appart from that it's alright.

These items are not cool at all:

resurrection orb, instant repair canister, and mystic key.

They are clearly selling power and making content unavailable for certain players, disappointing, this is nothing like GW1.
