If they are actually serious about cleaning the servers clean (which only time can show), I'm glad they did not simply make it a Legend update to iSRO. If joymax would start banning on the new SRO poeple who bot i know allot of poeple would go legit again also because the 50% Exp reduction you know its true i think this would be best for both party's Bots stay in isro where they can have fun pvping with there own 8/8 while legits could just go to Sro-R it would be perfect in my eyes

However, all I'm saying is that if Joymax added this update to ISRO as a legend update, the bots would still have the unfair advantage of all already being 120 because they've had 5-6 years to get their botting chars up there.

That's why I believe it's better for Joymax to start this as a new game. However, my point only stands if Joymax actually keep the new servers clean. Else they might as well just have added it to ISRO.

Besides, I do not understand why you say "we are stuck with shit". I agree, the new Silkroad-R sounds cool, but it's not like they're making ISRO WORSE, just because they're launching Silkroad-R. By all means, it might actually get improved because of less traffic etc.

In my opinion the part about the new (and hopefully clean) Silkroad-R overrules the fact that we have to start all over, though. That's my opinion and I know we do not share those thoughts, but just wanted to point out why I said as I did.

From what I can tell, this is basically their attempt at renewing their cash crop. You can still play iSRO, but it's the same game. No new updates to the game. So you will get bored eventually and either quit or switch to SROR/2.

Be nice if this happened like 5 years ago, but now I don't really give a crap anymore. Prob gonna just quit when this comes out. Game is just farked. Don't feel like wasting more time starting over again.

Having chars moved over would completely fark up the whole idea of making this a new game, and not just a legend update.

However, as you said, giving customers who have spent a lot on ISRO throughout the years sounds like a great plan. They will probably not do it, but it definitely sounds fair.

My thoughts exactly. Especially for the goldbots there is no reason to join SRO-R, since there are no gold drops below lvl 70, thus making it harder for goldbots to make huge-ass profits.
As you said, Joymax might be able to "force" the botters to bot at ISRO instead of SRO-R. We can only hope

And yes, the spending power of legits is HUGE! Got reminded about that when talking to the fella's at Aege and listening to how much they spent on ISRO during the last couple of months alone. It's insane

New one is garbage. Absolutely garbage. You don't trade for gold. You don't even trade for exp. You trade for stones which is used to craft job armor(Think of it like 10% or something increase of the the armors at 20,40,60,80,120). Server turns in enough material that you grind for = server trade = successful = ticket + stones. If unsuccessful no ticket. Ticket = random trade for job armor craft material.

That's the job system. That's all there is to it. To level up though you have to be in job suit and guess what? Grind for quest items. Turn them in. Repeat.

This Silkroad"R" sounds more like wegame making their own server while Joymax or whatever is left or whatever that merge was continues to watch over the original.

Well, to be honest, i like the idea that everyone has to start over from scratch, but that's probably because i never bought any silk for the game with some "real" money. I got some silk from other ways, but i guess it's still just not the same as when you bought it yourself. Anyway I don't really care about character level, equipment, etc. as long as i have lots of friends for pting up and just enjoying the game with them.

Also with the starting over on a new server we could gather all the legits on 1 server, which should result in a really nice community. Actually it might even surpass the Azteca/Venus and TSRO legit movements in many aspects, especially if they actually keep out most of the bots. As there are no gold-drops until lv.70 it will also be a lot harder for goldbot-companies, they'd just have to ban them before they reach Lv.70 and it's completely pointless to even make characters on SRO-R. Also in my opinion there are many other things, which are clearly a lot more legit friendly compared to ISRO, which is why i think they are serious about doing this and want to keep it clean.

First all characters are more or less useful in making pts now. Even chinese characters can contribute to the pt and i assume they'll be no longer left out and have to solo all the way up. I am actually thinking about making a chinese blader with bicheon/force myself and i usually didn't really like chinese in pts (with some expections, but on ISRO it was quite rare to find chinese characters, who could actually contribute to the pt).

Second the reduced exp/SP requirements are also in favor for the legits rather than for the bots. While bots wouldn't really care about the exp needed, it should be a lot easier to reach Lv.8X or 9X in a legit way now.

Third the Forgotten World improvements also show, that they are going to make the whole game more legit friendly. They increase the rewards for FGW even more, reduce the re-entry time and increase the spawn rate of pillars. Also they increase the drop rate of talismans and you can even get SP from doing FGW runs. At least for the higher grade FGW's you'll need a competent pt and you won't be able to just bot through it. And it seems to be a lot more effective to do FGW's instead of just soloing/pting. They clearly make the group activities in the game more important and rewarding like that, which is a good thing for legits, as they seem to take part in such group activities more often and their team work is a lot better usually.

Forth, as already stated they'll apparently go back to the old job system and introduce traders again. This is also a lot better and i am actually looking forward to the job wars at lower lv. ranges. It should be similar to how it used to be on TSRO. I remember we had some awesome fights at lv.4X/5X level range there.

WeGame may have just realized, that they just simply can't fix the original SRO anymore, which they took over from Joymax. With a new completely independent SRO they can avoid the mistakes from Joymax and redesign the game in a better and more legit friendly way.

But SNAPPA77, i can see where you are coming from. I'd probably be rather disappointed too, if i would have spent money on the original SRO and i am glad that i never did that so far. But i really think you should give this new SRO a chance. It may not be as bad as you imagine it now and i actually see it as a great chance for the legit community of SRO to get organized again. I can assure, that you'll be impressed by the size of the legit SRO-community. Most legits either stopped playing or went to private servers instead, but at least from my point of view none of them is really any good. Eventually you'll get bored, which is why i think that many legits will give this a shot and if it turns out to be a real legit server, most of them usually don't mind spending some money on it. Anyway i am looking forward to this server and i think this will be the most entertaining SRO experience for me since TSRO, which was the best so far in my opinion.
