Holy Gold Bots, Batman!
Holy Gold Bots, Batman!
I had no idea what to title this.
Anyway, a couple of friends and I had been pondering for a while, the reason why several goldbots on Alps had level 42 Seal of Sun and Seal of Moon staves.
Surely they couldn't all be drops? We checked Rev6 but it didn't show them on there. So that's when it hit me.
Magic pop.
I checked staves under the Magic Pop item list on Rev6 and found 68 SoM Magic Pop staves, and 38 Sun ones.
Maybe now we know the reason that joymax no longer bans gold bots? They're all paying for silk to play Magic Pop. And it's not just on Alps either. I haven't found a server with as many as alps, but most servers I checked had at least 10 Sun staves.

No, it's staves.
In bastardised (American) English, it's staffs.

EDIT: Rumors say the person that gives the gold has 24/7 premium plus too...

Re: Holy Gold Bots, Batman!
I doubt the gold bots are actually buying silk, with cash. They're more likely to be buying the magic pops from the stalls in Hotan, with gold they botted for.

I'm going to say this again.. Stop being retarded. A buddy of mine was plvling a bunch of bards with premium and a couple with a pick up pet a couple years ago. Using an outdated clientless he got banned a week later.
Stop with this silk = ban proof bullshit. They don't get banned, because they're using up to date software and Joymax doesn't run around banning people.

Please regard my stupidity!
They don't run around banning people. They let the auto ban system thing whatever the hell they use detect and ban. It's terrible no doubt about it, but when you are using an outdated piece of software it WILL detect and ban you. Purchased silk or not. You will get banned. Silk being ban proof isn't true. Joymax not running around banning people is.
That's the subject of this silly thread. Silk = banproof. Which is bullshit. Them not banning people, because whatever reason sure whatever. I don't care if they're not banning because that's their source of income. You are still able to get banned if you have purchased Silk on your account.
Re: Holy Gold Bots, Batman!
I thought the subject of this thread was about Batman...
