its hard to join Azteca when i heard ppls saying "we re waiting gw2" or when the others are quitting one by one.
Also to be a low lvl isnt funny at all, cause joymax making event only for rich high lvls. Sorry for complain,i know that everybody know that,anyway i think try to join Azteca and see what happen, but watch the symbolic guild avalon down to 8 ppls, that really sad and demoralizing.

Who cares? She doesn't even play anymore on Azteca. But we should be grateful, that she and Fly helped at the start of the legit community on Azteca. If they wouldn't have done that, there would be a lot less or probably no legits at all on Azteca.

And it doesn't matter at all, that Avalon is mainly inactive now. There are still a lot of people, who are trying to keep the community running. In fact, you wouldn't even notice, if Avalon is still there or not, since most of them are lv.80+ anyway.

avalon arent active anymore and probably wont be. so the surviving guilds from that union have broke away and are beginning a new union using guilds to represent the "waves" of new people joining. not like a level range but more of... who you play with.

The thing about SRO is how EASY Joymax makes it to bot. Plenty of info out there and not enough bans for goldbots or player bots.

gold is easy when you are lvl 101+, before that gold is nearly impossible to make. impossible to buy sox and def impossible to support yourself with even pots. make a vid of u with 100k and supporting your char up and making gold and i will applaud you.

on this forum alone there are maybe.... 10 people on azteca that are 80+ and about 3 that are 90+... on azteca alone. these are people that have NEVER BEEN POWER LEVELED BY A BOT. NEVER BROUGHT GOLD. NEVER BOTTED. NEVER USED MULTICLIENTS. NEVER USED A LOADER.... these guys are more high and mighty then anyone that has used these to level.

there is a person in my guild... he is level 57 if i remember right? and he has over 500mil..... learn to play and you will know how this isnt that difficult.

and for your information.... i have never ever botted/multicliented/brought gold/power farmed from a bot/ power leveled from a bot (not that i know of anyway)

the only possible "slip through the crack" was pk2 editing... and i never did a single pk2 edit that gave me an advantage. me with a few other people back when ksro had euro found out that it was possible to pk2 edit invisible and thats when most of us stopped pk2 editing at the rate we used to.

I agree with a lot of what you said...actually an srf mod I knew was a HUGE botter...and he even told me about this forum! (that was four years back...hes not a Mod anymore but yeah)we were in a guild that botted (Yes I tried to bot back then...a wizard but I was a noob at that even) and partied and it was really fun. Later on though once I read more of the guides and stuff here about how to play etc. . .I didn't feel the need to bot anymore lol, and had a lot of fun actually playing the game (thanks to guardias awesome barding guide)

I do feel that if people didnt bot the game would be better but only slightly, in reality Joymax set up this rediculous korean life drain grinder to suck away your money and time (botting actually takes a lot more time and energy, and resources than actually grinding...im dead serious)the game itself would be great if either the lvl cap was lower WITH all the new content, and maybe charge a monthly fee, or just higher exp rates (the new private server with 15x rates currently)

thing is though if they made it p2p then Joymax would really have to ge ttheir shit together and actually make CONTENT...

but 99.99999% of Asian mmo grinders (yes Im looking at you too Aion with your p2p craptacular grindfest) arent looking to provide actually content, but just a time/money sink... as in you spend all your time and money on them, and they dont return the favor and provide the service of providing a great, ever changing and evolving gaming experience.

This is not just a silkroad problem, its a pandemic that is across the whole Genre, with only a few execptions(guild wars 1...possibly Rift) or future hopes (guild wars 2 and terra)

Really the ones who support botters the most are the people like you said, who pay AND play these kinds of games that arent really worth the time and the trouble.

now the whole high and mighty thing...yeah that is uneccesarry, just becuase someone does something that you dont like does not make it ok to push against them. not for their sake...but for YOUR sake, as whenever you push against something, you apply EQUAL PRESSURE ON YOURSELF thats important and you need to read it over and over again (you as in the reader not just jules)

its not what you think...you all THINK you are promoting being legit but you are pushing against bots...which just makes the problem worse (go back to the italicized sentence for more clarification)

promoting being legit...or really promiting anything is only accomplished by leading by the clarity of your example. meaning, if guild a decides to be legit, then they become legit...they dont make rules *Not* do anything!

- they just set up certain times of the day/week to play together in parties/pvp/trade and make the most use of their time.

they make videos of how awesome their party guild is.

They focus on CONVERTING people who COME TO THEM from using bots to playing legit. once people recognize the benefits of playing legitly then there will be no need for rules of any kind, the guild.union will just be, no drama, just fun playing together and enjoying the game, getting better working as a team and playing their character individually.

Joymax is a huge obstacle in their design of the game but it only take 20-25 people who are chill, relaxed and keep away from *motivating* people then something like that could really change the face of a server, and the whole game...

Imagine the Old Avalon without all the drama, just ease and fun. They never would have lost the fort after 5, 6 , 7-10 years, they would have brought more and more people to their side...as you attract bees with honey not wine

Lol, making gold is so easy, if you know how to play. I currently have several 9D SOX parts (1 light armor part is even sun) and i still have around 200M gold left. After selling all my current stuff i'd probably easily have around 500-600M or even more.

While i actually agree, that it's better to show people, how enjoyable it is to play as a legit, it's simply impossible to lead a guild with that attitude. There will always be people, who just can't understand your point and they would start botting in your "legit guild" and they wouldn't stop botting either. You can't just ignore them and say "oh well, there are no rules, so let them be. Just show them how much fun it is to be legit". These people would never see the point of playing legit, because they just don't want to see it and you can't change that either. A legit community will always need certain strict rules as a basis for their decisions, but you can keep these rules at the necessary minimum, which would mean:

1. No botting
2. No gold buying
3. No pts with people, who currently bot (that includes no plevel by anyone outside of the union, as you can't be sure, that they don't bot; you can still play in pts with non-union people, if they don't bot while being in pt)

That's exactly what we currently do on Azteca. Take away one of the rules mentioned and you wouldn't be legit anymore.

Motivation is a reason or drive to do something. You must be thinking MANIPULATION which would be coercing someone into doing something. And for the record it isn't the grindfest everyone makes it out to be if you are in good parties and hanging with friends. Level 88 with 200k+ sp doing a progressive gap and thats in right around 4 months, plus we put the brakes on for the last month and had a union shuffle to deal with.
