So anybody paint traditionally? I'd like to get more into traditional painting (Oil mainly) - What kind of paint is good, brushes, etc. all that jazz. At the moment all I know is paint thinner smells good and round brushes - what are they for? lol Round brushes are stupid.
here is the only painting i've done worthy of being seen - barely (still unfinished)
I use Acrylic; I haven't gotten around to trying Oil, maybe next year.
I would love to see some of Hostage's stuff, I only recall seeing something of his once.
How is acrylic? I used it like a total of one time.
It's like whatever haha. I don't know much about the specifics of certain mediums, I find it fairly easy to use, but then again I haven't done many painting with it either. I see it as sort of an introductory medium to painting, na mean?
I do acrylic, oil, and water color. I really like acrylic (I'd probably like oil more if I was rich) since it's really versatile, you can go for a really smooth water color feel as well as add depth and layer like oils. Plus it's super cheap, I can get like a whole set of super large tubes for like 100 bucks. I used to like water color a lot since I really liked painting faded out still life and water color is amazing for that.
