Post by Shomari »

I need the rundown on this.

Main thing I need to know is why I can't farking partition.
I should add I know as much as a dead lobster about partitioning and most related things.

Edit:
Update.
/Will this cause my OS to crash?
I read that If I partition my boot partition then I will need an installation disc to repair it.

Google Wubi. Lets you boot Linux from within Windows; it uses some kind of disk image or ISO type scheme. Windows sees it as a single file so no need to partition if you don't want to.

FWIW, I dual-boot XP/Linux Mint 9 with no problems. I just partitioned about 80 gigs of space and access of my Windows programs in WINE. Not everything works, but good enough for me. Whatever doesn't work, I've managed to come up with a Linux alternative with the exception of Vent.
