I wasn't saying it was a choice lol read Wat I said. I said there is no gay gene. But I assume that it's the environment so when the media, parents etc has an effect more than u think.

That's irrelevant. Being heterosexual does not automatically render that individual incapable of acting mature when introduced to different aspects of human sexuality. There are several communities, much larger than this one, that openly discuss different sexualities without any commentary as to why their topic is inappropriate. The difference between that community and this one is that the former is a little older (about 20+). So the only conclusion I can draw from this is that the unnecessary comments in this forum are due to young or immature posters, though the two are usually never exclusive here.

Having a PH.D does not automatically make a source credible, especially if that source depends on fact-checking their work with a book pre-dating modern science and written by nomads in the middle-east long before modern concepts of medicine were even introduced. What I would ideally expect is an independent study that isn't just there to serve as a big lollipop to fundamentalist Christians. Doesn't sounds like much of a request, but it sounds like it'd be a challenge for you, apparently.

I would hope that in your academic career, especially in science, you would learn that a Ph.D. does not mean infallibility especially when they are given out like candy from religious schools.

In addition to this, that if caught, using faith-based sources in a scientific paper at Toronto will get you reprimanded.
