I've lost all faith for SRO

From my last and only posting, I got some pretty good feedback. A nice new friend try to help me start a new life on a different server however it's been difficult even with the new friend's help due to technical issue or time issue.

This has become a daily pattern for me now...

Keep on begging for Party, getting killed while running to the party site, party for a few hour, either DC or party ended and start over again.

Seem like the whole time on the game is mostly about that, unless you wanna do the mindless quest or just make small kill on your own in the low lvl mob area. (which reminded me why I quit this game all those years ago) Takes me months to hand grind to increase a few level only, developed carpal tunnel issue on my wrists.

Once you have reached certain level, no more free party for you now they ask the impossible of you a couple thousand of gold for 1 hour of taxi, which is funny cause I've been in a free taxi since lvl 6, where am I to get a couple K of gold to pay for taxi?!!!

Or turn to some kind of BOT program of the sort...well, me being not very tech savvy can't get the thing to install, dealing with virus, window xp issue, scared of banning, I'm pretty much SOL on that area.

All this just adds to my daily frustration of life on SRO. The game is no longer fun, everything is about business transaction, avoid being scammed, or the none stop begging for someone to have a kind heart and let you taxi for free when you only got 2548 gold and a couple kokoru beak and nails in your bag.

I've hit the bottom when I was forced to join some dumb guild so I can get free taxi but only to be treated like dirt when I died during pt, they just ban me and toss me aside.

The stress is so unnecessary, I quit playing about 4-5 years ago cause hand grinding did a job on my wrist. And I think with all these new stress, reminded why I quit playing even more so.

I'm seeing all these people getting to 90+ level now are sooooo bored that they begin to pk everyone around town, is this the future after SBOT after 90+ lvl?

I'm so done with this game, maybe I'll poke my head in once a long while, but I can't live like this.

Better off playing with friends. I was lucky to find a bunch of decent people on Iris. While I didn't get a ton of powerlevel or taxis, they party enough that it helps. If nothing else, go play CTF, you will get decent XP from the mobs. Then of course decide if you want to

a: stay and watch while your team camps the flag and kills everyone
b: stay and try to kill and get a ticket or two

Anyway, it's not all about the server. If you have no acquaintances or friends, why stay on the same server? MMO's were kinda designed for human interaction - although SRO phails due to tons of bots - that's one of the few reasons I hang around and play.

Lastly, you say you quit 3-4 years ago, but "can't live like this" implies you still play???

Stupid to think people have to plvl you for free. Of course not. Taxis for free are just for experience push so those chars get more exp. And mostly they just invite low lvl characters.
You should be happy they do it often.

And about the gold thing. If you would grind yourself (your too lazy for this game!) you would have enough money for equip, potions etc...

dude, you don't get it, as for the gold thing, I was talking about paying for taxi. Of course if I grind myself it would be enough, slow progress but enough (at the expense of my carpal tunnel that is). So thanks for the obvious comment.

firstly. i didn't even read the whole thing. i skimmed through it in about 10 secs. looks to me like you're expecting waaaaay too much out of a game. like. magically rising up in levels, getting gold from 'heaven', etc. and of course, you seem to be COMPLETELY reliant on others.
as for me. i love this game. ever since the server capacity significantly reduced, i've been playing about 45min - 1hr a day and in these 1.5 weeks i've went up from lvl 21 to 26 with a total of about 6 hours of playing with total focus on questing on mobs that are 3-4 lvls lower than i am, meaning i'm not getting maximum xp. plus the 4 lvl gap. solo.
i don't know what level you are but quit trying to get up the max level ASAP and just play the game, have conversations, do quests, and level up in the process as a 'side effect'.

p.s. obviously i'm an optimist. solo or partying. multiple deaths in a row or no multiple deaths. i love this game. haven't found one like it. haven't ever gone above lvl 67. but i keep playing and learning.

LOL, yeah you're way perky about it all. I started playing couple years ago, doing every thing on my own, grinding it out on my own, maybe a few party with real people playing side by side, but it was a long dry history of just chores/works. My wrists were starting to have problem, the whole quest, grinding on my own was just dry and boring because for months I wasn't able to meet some real and decent people to be friend with, so I stop playing. After a few year off, I came back this year, it was total bots and all. My old character gone from lvl 21 where I left it back then, over just 2 months shot up to lvl 63 now. This time I did met a guy who was really nice in the beginning, but recently turned psycho and pk/bullying me every day on SRO. So I'm now forced to give up that lvl63 character. I wonder how you would feel about giving up that lvl 67 character with no one to help you start a new one? Maybe you'll still be optimistic?!

You have a point..this game is lacking in what makes most game fun and thats a complete and vibrant community. But with the recent changes that Joymax has done by implementing these bot mobs the community will start to pick up again. Then you will start to see more people to interact with and have a greater chance of leveling with a group.

If you wanna quit then quit, you don't have to make this pointless whining thread. You really are a n00b, you just rely so much in others to give you gold and plv you (where is the fun in that?). You wanna know why you are so n00b? cuz you have to quit your lv63, silkroad has very large map, that psycho man who made ur character 63 has no chance in locating you everytime. you can either grind in taklamakan or in dh cave. The true reason why u quit that Lv63 was that it takes forever to level up and you don't have someone to help you now( you just making out reasons that he kills u everytime u get out of safe zone to gain some pity from SRF members in this forum hoping someone will offer you plv in other server etc....)

And yeah you should be ban for mentioning 3rd party programs(read the rules first before posting)

I hope they add in the rules to ban n00b whiners.

Wow, aren't you full of hate. I never once ask for gold in my whole history on SRO, what ever I have I always pick up every monster parts or arrow bolts that people left behind and sold them for money, I'm the trash picker upper person you see out there by the gates. Yes there have been gold that was freely given to me without me asking.
You totally missed my point, it's not about whining that no one free pt me, it's the whole idiotic cycle of life on SRO. People hating, being racist, calling each other noob for any reason at all, scamming, charging everything, no sense of brother hood.

About the bully, he's in a big guild with connections, they just recently took over a fortress, I've been pk by random high lvl persons for no reason, god knows what he told the guild, psycho.

I hope you're right, what made me fall for this game back then was the fact that you can sorta live like a super hero out there with cool power and stuff, meeting other cool heroes, etc, instead of just crappy peoples or bots. We'll see then.

As sayd before you pretty much seems to live with the idea that you can start your silkroad client before you going to sleep and find a nice guy to level you for free until morning, maybe, server inspection or even until CAP.

Well, even if SRO ingame comunity sucks (mostly) you can still find some nice people to grind and feel confortable, how many time you tried? you focus on trying to make some bots work, level for free and if possible receive free gold? instead of actualy playing the game...

I'm new to this game, but from my first elixir(sold to player( weapon elix from chakji - i've bought), first one i've sold to NPC ( )my gold problem were stories. Easy money you can do by simply checking stall network for elixirs every time you supply-there will always be people selling them cheap(low level char) and you can always sell them higher on Hotan, same with all kind of equips.

Another easy way to get gold is to sell your SOS drops-at least "useless" ones.

And a lot of other ways to make gold, like selling wolfs, tablets, alchemy material, stones, etc...you just have to be smart ...

If you played SRO before i'm sure you know all this stuff, but you are too lazy to play the game...and if you still want to quit then do it now, there's is no point of getting to 100+ and going outside samarkand and ask a 5D player if it is better to delevel bard and get cleric, and why - like a "baronet" asked me yesterday )


And stop your bot, start client in normal mode and start to grind, stall, taxi, everything you like and you will see that you never get DC. Amin!
