O lawd.
So, yesterday I heard this on the radio:
A woman in NYC was going out for diner with her girlfriends.
Then a hobo comes up, asks her for a little change. But she didn't have any change on her.
So what does the ho do?
She gives the tramp her CREDIT CARD on the condition he will return it while they're eating.
Her girlfriends told her the card was a goner.
BUT. The tramp came back while they were eating, gave her her credit card back and told them he bough soap, Deodorant and cigarettes worth $25.
He later revealed he never wanted to plunder the whole account.
This really returns my faith in humanity.

Mr. Homeless man was being nice to the wrong people.
You aren't supposed to reward stupidity.
Maybe that's why he needed money in the first place.

He would have been more kind to teach them a lesson now, so that in the future they don't just hand out credit cards to random people and have their lives ruined.

Wow, kudos to both of them. To her for trusting him, and him for not abusing that trust. It's a pity there things seldom happen.
Re: O lawd.
If I was a hobo i'd spend atleast 500$ to get me through a month of secure food..

Spoiler!

Surely, they had learned the lesson. But isn't it nice to hear such a story. Well, It's pretty rare these days.Reise wrote:He would have been more kind to teach them a lesson now

Stupid hobo, should've just plunderd the account.
If people give/trust random folks with money so easely, they either got enough to spare or are so plain stupid they deserve nothing else.

You think he became a hobo by pulling that kinda shit? If he did that he'd be a conman.

Re: O lawd.
Not too surprised by this. There are some good people out there. If you're homeless, and finding it very hard to meet ends, someone going as far as lending you their credit card just shows great compassion and trust; which then again you don't get that often being homeless begging for change, and not to mention being a stranger.
Not all are saints, and not all are devils. It's the same with any person. Some people would actually be conscious of someone lending that great of trust to a total stranger, and repay that person's kindness by doing what they were entrusted with; however, there are some who would clean you out without a second's notice. That's humanity for you; some are selfish greedy assholes, while others can actually be trusted. Huh, who knew...

We should stop treating people like objects, or at least treat our objects with more respect.

Re: O lawd.
I've personaly known a couple of homeless people, its not at all as if i pre-judge them.
I do think most of them should not be trusted with any amount of cash while you cannot oversee it, though.
Then again no stranger should, ofcource.
But they do ofcource have a reputation for spending money they 'get' on alcohol or drugs.
And luckely some people can be trusted still, it's just wiser not to trust anyone you dont know really well with important stuff.
