Hestitate between euro builds

Post by Sunfade »

Hi guys,

i'm powerfarming atm, but i just CAN'T figure out what kind of build i'm going to be..
all i want is a good pvp / FW / job build. im going to farm all the sp needed for lvl 100 on ongs. so lvling isn't one of the headcases.

what about:

warrior (2h/1h/axe) / cleric
warrior / warlock , it's a great pvp build, but would it be okay in jobbing / FW?
cleric / bard , somehow, i like it.

builds i DON'T want to be:

wizard
rogue

i'm looking forward to your advice!
Thank you very much,.

warrior cleric
same thing everyone says
if you dont know you should
warrior warlock would rape 1v1 and be helpful in certain scenarios for jobbing and FW, if there isnt an int to do your job better
bard cleric will be in every party ever wanted
best for party play

+1
Id say for you, especially if you are a newer player to SRO, go with the Warrior/Cleric build. Its great in 1v1 pvp and in jobbing. Plus the build is relatively easy to use and isnt quite as complicated as a Warrior/Warlock, which is good in pvp yes, but not so much in jobbing and such.

If your a party player kinda guy, and you have a bunch of friends and dont mind everyone bitching at you, go cleric/bard, and every party will want you because of your godly buffs and healing abilities. However, the build is very slow to level and all the buffing and healing can become tedious, especially for newer players.

Good Luck!

if this is your first euro build i recommend you go warrior/cleric cuz its not a very hard build to play and even though it involves weapon switching, you will learn as you play with you char. i had a warrior cleric myself but i didnt really like the gameplay and made a rogue and i like that better. its all a matter of taste and opinion. i think warrior cleric would be better at pvp but rogue/cleric is definetly better at job wars. so if you want to be good at pvp and ok at job war then go warrior/cleric and if you want to be good at job wars and ok at pvp then go rogue/cleric.

also i personally think that a cleric/bard is soooooo boring. all you do is heal and buff people and you will suck at pvp and job wars for sure. maybe a battlebard with cleric as a subclass would be a bit better for pvp and job wars but it would still be a support character meaning you depend on others all the time and that gets really annoying. but thats my opinion if you like support builds then go for it :P

or you could do a warlock/cleric. youll have good skills to do damage with warlock and be able to support others with cleric however this build costs a shitload of sp!!!

bard/cleric would be amazing at job wars, if youre doing your job right. saying he doesnt only get buffs he will be a battle bard and therefore be able to kill others as well.

Bard/Cleric is a good build.. But I have to admit I got kinda bored when I reached 30 @__@
Coz there's just nobody to party with.. And I can't 1vs1 gaints.. It's just kinda hard xD

I made it to level 86 with a combination of powerleveling and party play. I tell people at low level who play a cleric to just put in the party matching system "Helpful Cleric, will heal/buff/res" and then keep the range within 2 above and 2 below your level. It doesn't always work, but it was better than no parties at all.

Are you saying you couldn't kill a giant? Switch from bard to cleric, put on the phys/mag def buffs, hit Bless and you are good to go. There are several heals even below level 30 that keep your hp up. The main problem would be mp pots.

Sure it takes longer, but it's definitely possible, I did it all the time.

All those builds require a shitload of sp and they are all great in different situations, since there are millions of warrior/clerics out there i suggest you to choose something that is actually useful and always needed in any party: Cleric/bard. there are too few of them and they are so hard needed in nearly every pvp situation.

Warrior/cleric seems to be chosen like an easy build by most of you its actually a very technical based build that require a lot of skill and knowledge of the game to master, reason why i see most of the warrior/clerics fail.

pretty good point, although i think the Cleric/Bard will be alot more complex and difficult to use, especially in party situations. And without support, they are worthless in PVP.

Not to the extent that you think. They can be very persuasive with freeze and dropping back and healing then offering. Its very effective when you are guarenteed basically a one hit kill (granted you aren't the unlucky bastard who gets blocked), but even then, you can easily survive most things. Absolute damage skills are also very useful since they can't be blocked and I believe they do like a combined 12k-ish damage, which is well more than enough to kill european nukers, and with trial cross you should be able to kill chinese nukers. Another great alternative is the Knock-Back skill from the warrior at level 10. A lot of people say its a waste, but its pretty useful to knock a player back and offering him. And you really only need bard level 90 (usually) because the noise protects up to 100 and you still get 100% speed increase along with the dances and stuff. Its all a trade off between what you want in that build, but it is quite capable of soloing.

Warrior/cleric seems to be chosen like an easy build by most of you its actually a very technical based build that require a lot of skill and knowledge of the game to master, reason why i see most of the warrior/clerics fail.

I agree in total with this. Most people won't use healing orbit because they think its gay and unfair and they give into peer pressure and not use it because they don't want to be called a ****. But it truely is the skill that keeps a warrior as the top pvping class.

Good luck with your build.

Warrior/cleric is also one of the most skill-based builds in sro if you want to be really good. If you are gonna make one make sure you know more then: Sudden twist-Daredevil-rising-tripple swing, healing cycle, repeat.

Not to mention that a warrior/cleric if you want to be effective with all weapons is kinda expensive. IMO you need a +5 set with +7 weapons so I dunno the prices at this cap but it cant be cheap. Dont get me wrong its my favourite build but really everyone is going warrior/cleric, kinda hard to compete if you make another one.

If its your first build warlock/cleric is really good. Great for solo grinding, good in grind party's and its also good in job etc.
