Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu endorsed a Palestinian state beside Israel for the first time on Sunday, reversing himself in the face of U.S. pressure but attaching conditions like demilitarization that the Palestinians swiftly rejected.
A week after President Barack Obama's address to the Muslim world, Netanyahu said the Palestinian state would have to be unarmed and recognize Israel as the Jewish state — a condition amounting to Palestinian refugees giving up the goal of returning to Israel.
With those conditions, he said, he could accept "a demilitarized Palestinian state alongside the Jewish state."
about Farking time for what exactly....Israel basically asking the Palestinians to give up, drop all weapons, and live on a reservation?
I suppose i don't have a solution to the problem though, the damage is done. Telling the Israeli's to GTFO wouldn't be easy what with all the weapons we gave them. But the land technically belongs to the Palestinians. A joint gov't where they could co-exist would be the best possible solution but world peace hasn't dropped out the sky anywhere else lately so...
/sigh
