I put a * after everything that I was interested in (besides compulsory stuff)
I don't really mind what I take, but I want to know what would help me in the future. Note that I can only pick 3 subjects besides Maths and English.
Also, generally IGCSE is harder than NCEA. And in exceptional circumstances I can pick 4 CIE and 1 NCEA subjects.
IGCSE or NCEA?

Re: IGCSE or NCEA?
I don't know about NCEA, i haven't come across it before.
However, i took the IGCSE, and it is pretty damn satisfying getting your diploma at the end of the two years. From that moving to post secondary that i did (IB), and then to Uni im pretty happy i did IGCSE.
If i remember correctly i did,
English,
Math,
Bio & Chem & Physics (Double Science Award At The Time),
Geography,
French,
Theater.
When i applied for IB, they looked at my IGCSE as the main determinant, however after that, i have hardly seen GCSE pop up, they did look at it when i applied for Uni, but as far as i know they mostly cared about my IB.
I guess it comes down to what is the norm in your school, and what you feel will most help your future. Word of advise would be to, look at a Post Secondary Diploma course, like the IB or a University/College you hope to attend. And see if they prefer IGCSE or NCEA, based on what they say, their acceptance requirements, and the stats of their past Undergraduates. Which should be available in most Universities.
Thats about all the help i can give. Gluck with it.

Sounds like the core of what most people I know take as well. I've taken a similar path =)

CIE IGCSE
if you have so many more things you are interested in there shouldnt you just pick it?
maybe try to switch chinese with japanese.
