Wizzy/Cleric or Rogue/Cleric?

Hey

Atm, i have a level 68 wizard/cleric. However, I quit this char because i realised that it was too hard to farm, and I am now using it to pfarm a new char at ongs.

I don't know whether this char should be rogue/cleric or wizard/cleric

I love killing fast in pve, but I don't like dieing too much in pve.
I don't really mind 1v1 pvp, but I like jobbing.

I know that rogue's have a tough time getting into 8/8 parties, and at the current cap I would like to party with other people so we can kill the uniques in the cave.

Pls post your suggestion and a reason

Well if u wanna get into parties easier, go with wizard/cleric. Tho IMO Rogue/cleric is a better char overall.

rogues in parties at cap isnt really bad, at cap a lot of people will take anyone really just to kill faster unless they bot :S

rogues are better in pve i think since wiz cant aoe well and not die so both are killing 1 by 1
wiz is better in group pvp if group can keep it alive but rogue is better at sniping, distracting people

well you could get in as a cleric easily but rogue is really fun for pvp so thats what i would do

Hmm I actually was doubting between those 2 for my alt as well . But well, since you are powerfarming your alt you shouldnt worry to much about getting party's easy or not.

Anyway 1on1 I prefer rogue, because I like the weapon switching play style better. I also absolutely love high crits. Wiz/clerics gets relatively stronger when they obtain better gear. But still not quite as strong as a rogue in 1on1 I think.

In group pvp they have totally different roles IMO. Where a wizard is mainly there for dmg + mana drought and kb ( sometimes). A rogue is mainly important for scorch + interupts. Rogues are annoying as hell. 1 Rogue can keep a cleric from casting for a long time. Its also verry funny to receive screens or buffs from an enemy due to scorch.

They also have the option to deal EXTREMELY high situational physical dmg(prick+crit+desperate dagger), rogues can kill ints really easy. Wizzys deal way more splash dmg/constant dmg and their dmg is magic based.

However, in most partys theres a guard tamb+mana tamb+ magic dance up. So you will deal less dmg then a wiz. Rogue's tend to not receive to many defensive buffs cause they are purestr afterall so they are really vurnable. Desperate daggers+fence makes a tank died verry fast to. Bless + desperate doesnt stack to well. You wont have these problems with crosbow extreme though. So due to the image people have off rogue's, you will get less buffs resulting in less dmg/survivability compared to a wizard.

Anyway I personally went with wizard. I already have a main tank/cleric, so when I want 1on1 pvp I just log on him. In group pvp with kb+stun+bleed+kd etc im already pretty annoying. And well I just wanted to try an int based char for once. Aint enjoying wizard to much anymore though, at first I loved the nukes but now they look really boring .

could try warlock instead of wizard...
warlock kills pretty much as fast as wizard, just uses more skills to do it

or wizard/warlock build

Uhh well atm im bussy with my school exams, but my main is a 90 FF tank/cleric and I played sometimes at a 90 FF wiz/cleric ( +7 staff and +5 set) which was a friends char btw.

Do I died much in pvp? Hmm in 1on1 I sure did, I will try to find a good video bout wiz/cleric pvp though but those dont show their deaths :S. Anyway in group pvp, it depends. When I did have alot buffs: quota+fence+tamb+bless/screen well the only thing that could kill me were absolutes. But sometimes you only have tambour+fences, and tambour can kinda be interupted by attacking the bard leaving you with only fences, well then I sure felt squishy. However moving / equipping shield + canceling LT and such stuff made it alot easier to survive.

Anyway, what irritated me alot and at the 100 cap will be even worse is this. All your attacks are slow. Meaning its really easy to interupt you. Bowers with 2 kb chains wont let you cast anything at all. In big FW's I could cast a nuke every 5minutes maybe .

So in short, depending on the amount of buffs you have you can be a real tank ( only absolutes fxck you up). Its hard to cast your slow nukes. In group pvp like most euro's its a really party dependent class.

Would you say wixard/cleric is easier to get into unqiue/jangan cave parties at this cap than rogue/cleric?
