Never said they wouldn't recover. They just might not be a superpower. They would have a large Army as all the people who had/have lost their jobs due to the economic crisis. That's probably about it. China would become the strongest and most influential country like the US has been for many years.

Economically they will bounce back. Possibly not to their potential. Though if as I said, are over run and land taken that will obviously change their economy substantially. Military... might decrease as far as technology is concerned. Though politically, hmm .. never liked American politicians or any politicians really. The US wouldn't be as influential as it once was.
