Sro character stop moving and then teleports everywhere?

Whenever I fight a monster (usually happens with party monsters or giants) All the characters on my screen just stop moving. You can tell it's not a complete freeze, because they are still breathing. And then when they do start moving, everything slides across the screen, my character takes an unrealistic amount of hits in a short period of time, and I die. The fact that I am a wizard and I die faster than any other class makes it even more frustrating. Is there any way to solve this?

its lag usually caused by your internet connection but its sometimes just the server
