Nintendo DS or PSP?

Post by washikaba »

with one do you prefer?
with the psp you do get to listen to music and so on but there has also been a lot of problems. . such as Icons burning out, (laser going through face plate *dont know if that ones true*) etc. and you have to buy a memory stick which isn't cool.

DS also has its flaws such as not enough 2 screen play, the touch face gets all scratched and sucks after a lot of use and the games are pretty S**t.

So i was just wondering which you prefer?

I would choose Nintendo DS just for the new Fire Emblem game coming out for it soon, but not many people like the Fire Emblem games. : (

Is this a joke? the PSP has little to no good games on it at all...where as the DS
as 100's of quality games...and as for scratching ur DS, well just get some screen
protectors and it should be ok ¬_¬

but seriously the DS is a MUCH better console...has more games and is just more fun.

You're such a nintendo fanboy that sane regulars no longer take you seriously.

I would say that it doesn't matter. Crimson made me put a bunch of shit on my PSP. It's cool that you can torrent every single PSP game (not that I would, or provide links), and put on SNES, GBA, and playstation games - i'm pretty sure that with that, the PSP has 1000s of quality games. The best part is that the controls actually feel right, unlike a pc emulator with a keyboard. If you're into that kind of thing then it's worth it.

The DS has some cool games, but they seem to be more about novelty than anything, and it quickly wears unless you're a fanboy. In essence, a portable is a portable and you will never be totally satisfied. I'd spend the money on something else, but unless you love some of the nintendo regulars, i'd get a psp.

Jesus, quit making these "WHICH CONSOLE?!?" Every single case is preference, preference, preference. If you can't decide for yourself what console you want, most likely you'd be one of the people that lets it collect dust and shouldn't even buy one in the first place.

how man i a fanboy? because i buy a console based on quality of games and not
the maker of name of it or some ability to illegal mod it? Or that most its games
are console ports from the PS2 or downsized PS3 games...wait? 1000 of quality games?
lol yea am sure there are  ...lol yea that makes me a fan boy

I have both consoles, Phatty DS and the Phatty PSP.

You can try to wait it out for the MAYBE, upcoming new nintendo DSi, which no longer has a GBA port, only a DS one.

And it includes a camera, which has sucky megapixel.

There are Pros and Cons about both system, i would not state them, because the number is simply too great.

Oh wait, you're right. The combined libraries of the super nintendo, nintendo, sega genesis, psp, playstation, and arcade games are no match for the nintendo ds and its outstanding game list.

You just proved my point you idiot, you have to illegal modifiy your PSP (Which you
can do to the DS as well) if you want to play those games listed...meaning that if
you ever update your PSP you would brick it.

So what games does it have if you dont modify it then? yea thats right...please think
before you speak.

Dont think you ever said it had to be games to itself, ie PSP games. It can play all those games so i would count that too.

- the next gen psp 3000 will have a built in mic so it will be able to use skype better

I'm sorry satman but it's undiniable (sp?) that you're a nintendo fanboy...Ps3/wii and you go for the wii? nah..

It's all preference idd...I have a psp which I don't use anymore, my sis had ds which she sold. But brain academy was fun ^_^ I like both but I think that the psp is better in the end, with the possibilities to listen to music/watch vids and browse (not sure about the ds, don't think that the ds has a web browser o.o)

Oh and:

I'd go with the DS. It has more games I like, but I don't spend money on portables. Always beat them too fast cause I play them as much as console/pc games. Also, the fact that Nintendo releases like a new type of DS every year keeps me from buying one. They milk their products for all that their worth.

So it makes me a fanboy to NOT go for the console(PS3)with ZERO backwards compatibility,
only a handful of good exclusive (only)games, mediocre online abilities. and that
which is also overpriced and under preforming when
compared to a console which its meant to be better then? (360)...lol if that makes
me a fanboy then your a idiot.

Yea because it makes sense to always pick the most expensive console which is also
the most hyped...yea thats the best thing to do isnt it...Wow i better start saving
up for the PS4 because well...its a PS so it MUST be good...moron :P

This is the 2nd time I see you calling someone an idiot, Satman. People have different opinions, and if theirs happens to differ from yours, respect that.

This isn't the first time you get all worked up because someone does not /hail Nintendo.

It makes you a fanboy if you always go for one specific console/handheld from a company (in this case) and you always bash the others while they clearly have better games/hardware/options etc.

But really... Comparing a wii with a ps3 or xbox360 is total bullshit because Nintendo aimed for a different gaminggroup. But w/ ever...Call me an idiot, but it's a fact that you are a fanboy >.<

Re: Nintendo DS or PSP?

Well here is the thing...if you say you go for the Wii or say the Wii is good in
anyway you must be a fanboy  , but go for PS3 or 360 and thats ok.

I know the Wii and DS are going for a different market...i DIDNT make this thread,
yet people feel it fine to ridicule your choice when its not the one they expect you
to go for. i have a 360 and yes i play it...but i find most its games boring, and
why you ask? well i get them on PC anyway so i see no need for console versions, but
besides that the PS3 isnt the shinning beckon of gaming glory you make it out to be.
Yes it HAS the potential to be the best gaming console ever...but at the moment its
a long way off from archiving that, and yes the Wii isnt for hardcore gamers...it
was never meant to be its for casual gamers and thats why it works, and just like
any console it has its falls and its problems.

But what do you gain form ridiculing my choice of that (wii) over some other gaming
platform and then call me a fanboy or get upset when i tell you why i prefer it and
why i feel your choice isnt all that great either.

You are turning it around, YOU are the one that are mostly bashing on other people for having other choices. I don't care what you play but you will somehow always go for Nintendo stuff ;) . Also if you don't like games doesn't mean no one likes them, they are just not for you. You should probably sell your xbox then if you don't like most of the games.

Anyway this is getting offtopic so it'll be the last thing I'll about it.
