how long do i sp farm?

so ive finally understood how to sp farm and im supposed to do that for like a couple of weeks for **K sp
and ill be lvl 16 for a LONG time

my build is a pure str archer with pacheon 90 fire imbue 90 light 90 and cold 30 and the guides ive seen need like 400k-500k sp altogether

how long will i be sp farming at lvl 16 though? because i know im not going to farm all 400k-500k sp at once...

and if there isnt an exact answer about when should i stop?

I suggest farming 100k at den if you can stand it. If you farm 100k you won't need sp for a very long time, however it will take 1 or 2 months (depending on if you have a ticket). However you will get rediculously bored and give up before you get to 100k, unless you have a lot of will power.

you can calculate how much Sp is needed and calculate what kind of gap will get you to that SP amount while leveling.

Of course that would be wihtout doing quests! -.- which is boring as hell, so what I would do is 9 gap from 9 to 20~21 the do the gap needed, and still do a few quests.

EDit: I forgot chinese need more SP, man they suck.... anyways that's what I would do ( what I did with my warrior/cleric) with euro chars, my warrior atm has more than enough SP for lvl 40 including the cleric sub and im going for a 3 gap lvling now =]

obviously this is hypothetical but what if i did that, would i have enough sp for pach 90/fire 90/light 90/cold 30?

Like kevin said, calculate what you need and use the gap calculator to see what Gap fits it. BUT doing quests will lower your SP calculated since quests give less or no SP at all( some just give SP).


If you do 9 gap all the way to 90 it will be very VERY slow! and you will probably end up with a bunch more SP than needed.

those ARE your levels there's a 100 cap gap in Ksro if im not mistaken Anyways those are your lvls, the top is the gap you would take, and the box in the middle of the two would be the SP gained in that lvl with that gap.


If you are a starter I suggest you use the box at your right. and it can tell you How much SP you would gain from a level to another with a specific Gap

but if those are my lvls and my gaps then being lvl 90 with a 9 lvl gap would only get 195k sp
and thats no where near enough

so is there something im missing? or something im not looking at?
because i thought i would have almost too much sp if i 9 lvl gapped until 90

You don't put 90 in the left and the right column and then a 9 gap. Put in 5 on the left, 90 on the right, then 5 gap. That gives 668k+ sp.

If you 9 gapped all the way from 9 to 90, you'd get 4.2 mil+.

The chart tells you how much SP you would gain per level. So from level 9 to 10 with a 9 gap, you'd gain 403 sp.

You put in 5 at the left, because you would not level any skills before that point. Level 5 with level 0 skills = 5 gap.

As you go through the levels, you'd raise your skills to keep that 5 gap the whole way. At level 22, your skills would be level 17.

BTW, if you're Euro a 5 gap is more painful, good choice to stay Chinese.

well what im looking at is the sp gap lvl first
so far it looks like i can stomach a 6 lvl gap which gives me about 891k sp
so now that i have that i can have even more skills

instead of choosing all my skills and then finding the exact amount of sp i need

Well lothakoun, I'm gonna tell you what's my idea for a better legit sp farm(off course without thosed fu***** bots)

I don't know if that works as well for a chinese as for a euro, but here's the tip...

There's a nice guide here on SRF that explains how to get money out of botters on roc mountains, it consists on buying capes and throuing them on the floor so that the bot gets them all and stop getting loot from monster. So, this way, if you are lucky, is possible to make about 3kk(selling stuff and weapons ) in a sat or sunday.

Then, when you have a nice amount of money, get you china guy, with at least 9 lvl gap on lvl 20(i say at least cause people generally leaves mastery at 10) and go to ong, find a nice killer, prefered wiz lvl 64+, and pay for power lvl. Those normal party mob gives you about 2~4sp each, and generally the wiz kills at least 3 at a time, and with champs and giants, you'd get a lot of sp per hour, much more than at den.

Pros - You could make like 30k~50k sp a week without any probs
Cons - You'll have to spend A LOT of money, I'm talking about tons of gold.

And there's a easier way. If you are lucky enough, you could find a nice guild, with nice people, and ask people to power lvl you at ongs, the same way, but without spending money.

I would say it's way better to farm all at ongs, because anything above 2 lvl gaps on grinding I'd say it sucks. It may be ok during low lvls, like till lvl 40~50, but after that it would be HELL to lvl with 3+ lvl gap.

What you could do is the following, if you don't wanna farm it all at once, you could calculate all you need till the lvl you want, then calculate how much you'd get with 2 lvl gap, then the dif you farm. xD

And you will see how fast people lvl with 6 gap:D if you enjoy getting 1% per hour with premium
at a little higher lvl than have fun

You could always get in a Chinese party, but as a bower there wouldn't be much need for you.

In our guild there are only a few Euros (our warrior just quit and went to Perfect World) so we end up partying with the Chinese. With cleric buffs Chinese can handle pt mobs 5-6 levels higher easily.

It's just an alternative to powerleveling/grinding.

If you're talking to me, my warior was funded to be Plvled at ongs till lvl 21 from lvl 10 with 9 gap now im taking a 2 or 3 gap forever since I want to do some quests

also I 6 gapped till 30 in hun parties. Since I met a nice turk that was Plvling me for free or half the price

I used mine already to farm faster xD use em when you're in a good spot and at a god farming lvl for example 16 isnt bad I used em at 21 stil lgot tons of SP with 9 cap with huns

just whenever you feel you're getting alot of SP use em...Unless you wanna save em for easier lvling without premium at higher lvls...

Well, ongs wouldnt be an option, unless he has friends to help him trade or who powerlvl him at ongs

Since this is your first character, I'd advise you that you dont care about SP farming nor anything, and just play the game as it is ...

When you lack some SP seriously, open a little gap, and farm some SP ...
Dont farm whole bunch at once, you will get bored and you will quit the game.

yea thats exactly what i was looking for but i just want to make sure that my character isnt horrible when i get higher lvls and ill have sp for my skills

so what do u think is an okay gap starting up for the first time? and still being an average+ character?
