Ramadan

Post by heroo »

So today is the first day of the fasting month of the Muslims, the Ramadan.

Woke up 06:30 today, and I have to wat till 20:33 till I can eat. That's like 14 freaking hours without drinking or eating :(

But with Allah's help I can take it :D

I'm not a muslim, but I fast on a regular basis. I know what you're going through. When you feel like eating, focus on God (Allah) and it will fade away. Works for me :)

The pictures of food aren't temping at all, its only hard when you get to smell it.

I'm not that religious at all, but I still fast. It's just to test my willpower, because If I can refuse the basic necessities of survival that probably means I can do a lot more with myself now and in the future, that's how I look at it, not at all in a religious way. Weirdly enough last year and the year before I beat my fitness test record all the time when im fasting I used to run 6 laps in like 11mins last time I tried was 9:21 which is ALMOST 100%...

I have great respect for people who manage to do it, and also have their normal day jobs too..

I've got a muslim collegue, and we work at McD's...

damn hard for him I bet,

But.. to proove some respect to the islamic culture I'll just drop 10 pounds or so this months.

I bet Allah will like that..

(Or won't, if he's a chubby chaser)

(I'm sorry if that^^ offended anyone and tell me if I should remove it)

Have no islamic people where I live, anyone care to explain what it is about? How it started, etc.

I eat one meal a day usually so I don't think it would be that hard.. though I do drink liquids, so I'd assume that wouldn't count as fasting? :P
