PvP isn't fun at low levels. My opinion. At 3x, a nuker can one-hit another nuker, it's like a wizard vs wizard at a higher level. Whoever gets a first hit.
For me the game is about pvp. Not the grind. The grind, I hate it.
I do however wish that there were more euro parties on my server. I've honestly, never been in an 8/8 euro party. I've had 5/8 at most. That was pretty awesome.. but even after 4-5 hours I had to stop. Anyway, my /rant of venus, some people like it others don't.

Venus is the shiznit. Current characters: Lvl 60 Wiz/Bard Lvl 64 Warrior/Warlock Lvl 53 Hybrid Warlock Lvl 45 Warrior Rogue Lvl 42 Cleric/Bard Lvl 55 Chinese Hybrid Bower Lvl 34 hybrid Blader Lvl 37 Str/Ice/Force Blader I lvl these in rotation. I couldnt do that in other servers.(Seeing so many f4ggot capped sun botters depresses me:p) But Venus makes me want to grind. I love it here. It's my home:p
P.S Contrary to popular belief, any chinese cant take a euro, jsut gotta know how to use your char.:p

LoL, IMO PvP is fun at every level. The one-hit kill is part of the excitement. Venus just lacks the on the field jobbing excitement atm.
Once again: We're a server full of people who love one another. There may be an occasional disagreement but for the most part its chill. Don't come expecting a pre-euro scenario where you have to look over your shoulder when stealing or hunting. If the Alliance knows your alias you can go from point A-Z without much hassle. Yeah, you'll meet the occasional player bot but whats a death that can't be fixed with a little party grinding?
I loled at the comments above. Nightbloom's made me giggle then Alfred's got me smiling and I fell out my seat at Ice's.

thats why being legit is importent. those that make it to the top gain a reputation for being there. useing that reputation, they build up guilds, unions, and help the people under them by offing them protection. in return there ends up being tons of drama, always a trade run to rob/protect, meny guild wars, and a huge community to participate in.

tbh that seems more fun than the whole reputation bullcrap... maybe because reputation in Troy is equivalent to nothing, but the fact that your dick is big (you have a strong char) makes all the difference. Also, I rather own people than mobs... gives a better feeling...

Reverend was making up drama and trying to force it down the throats of everyone. He doenst party with BHA, so he doesnt know who they are. He wanted to make trouble just because he got bored of being owned in PVP and leveling alone. He always wanted to argue about Chinese vs. Euros and as the arguments got more pointless, the bored drama got worse.

That must be why botters dont even register to FW and why botters dont even care to leave town when my behemoth 5* is walking near them in thief suit :>

I play on venus cause theres lots of people to talk with and lots of friends to make.. it's a good community, so with or without competition (besides it's competition from people who shouldn't even be there, botters) you can still have fun and enjoy the game with other people.. it's the point of an online game.
On other servers it's crowded... with botters... who aren't even real people.. so it counts as if they weren't really there... so you see venus is more crowded than other servers.
Even if i had a capped char on Venus i still wouldnt feel special and i want fun, and for me thats easier at lvl cap cuz i dont die then as much when im thiefing or something...
Venus brought back the nostalgic feeling from back in the day. A feeling which so many players missed and craved.
They deserve nothing but praise for their hardship and their efforts to force their dreams into reality. I don't play SRO anymore but when i hear things about Venus and the accomplishments of the legits, i cannot help but to admire them and their dedication.

Because we reguarly clear out the ong spots, you can easily PL a group of legits there. lol Venus is different in lots of ways. Its an effort that many legits have helped to continue and you cant appreciate it unless you are a certain kind of person I guess.
We figured out what the botters wanted and took it away.
PVP: We all go to the gates and pwn the bot guilds over and over. Dont even let them properly PVP in any way. As soon as they stand up, someone will push them down again. We are generally in groups and the botters are generally solo chinese so they dont have a chance. They also cant take the fortress or win a guild war against us or BHA.
Fast Leveling: Yeah, we own them there too. We can level faster and better. A legit was the first 90 on Venus. The bots know to stay away from our leveling spots cause they will just loose %. Albel makes a couple high level botters max murderer every night so for a botter going AFK is pretty dangerous. All the legit unions regularly DC the bots as they repot so it interrupts their leveling.
Community: We dont party with them. They arent our friends, we dont help them. We dont assist them in PVP or at boss kills (Which they can only get in the middle of the night). We use a shunning method to let them know they arent welcome in our community. We have a whole forum set up to keep track of who is botting and who isnt so we can make this effective.
If you spend any amount of time on Venus, you would see the effectiveness of our methods. The bots were easy. They all seem to be selfish kids with ADHD so they gave up really fast for the most part. Its been harder keeping the legits true to the original idea because legits all seem to be really nice ppl who want everyone to get a chance to be a good person. It's sweet and all but kinda muddies the water. lol The Confederacy (legit coalition if you wanna call it) helps that a lot.
I wish another server would get its head out of its butt and try it out. There should be more than only one legit server.

This succeeded in Venus because it was a new server. The other servers have too many botters to reform. 90% of the servers are run by bots. Only 10% (Venus) is legit. This wont be possible on other servers because the bots would just pk you if you tried. They would team up and do the opposite of what you're doing on Venus. Oh well, 1 server is better then none

What makes a good server is like anything in life, it's different things to different people. For some it's the destination, being capped with a pimped set. For others, it's the journey, playing the game at your own speed, making friends, pvp, jobbing. Those that want to be capped, are probably not going to like Venus, as the OP said there was nobody at the high level spots. Fly pointed out the reason for this, b/c it's mostly legits that hand grind your not going to have as many high levels, as lazy players are not tolerated on this server. On the flip side I took a tour through the level 10 mobs in Consti the other day, and it was packed with lowbies hand grinding, partying and learning their builds. You want to be part of what has been created on Venus, you have to earn it, you have to work it by hand, but if you do that's where you find the community comes into play because they will help you far more than some stupid taxi. And taxi's don't work anyway as most of us while inbetween parties go drag mobs on the horsehumpers anyway and you just end up dead.
I'll agree that jobbing aspect is very much in favour of the Hunter/Traders. The reason for this is obvious though, most of the theives are botters and haven't the first clue on how to play in a group, so they just get killed by the hunters easily. Even this is being changed, there are people on the server that have created a thief guild of legits. And I think that's great, I don't care if I die while on the job, it's part of the game, it's what makes it fun, so if more legit thieves sign up, this will only improve the fun of the game.
One thing stands out for me when I hear people speak about other servers, they say they have a good group of friends that's why they stay. I can't assume how many friends you have, but I know I can count anyone on any of the legit unions as a friend whether or not I play with them on a regular basis because that's the way of thinking in Venus. It was stated in our vent server just last night that we wouldn't even need this game, we could just hang out in vent with each of us playing any other game and it wouldn't matter because the conversation isn't just about SRO, it's about being friends.......and tiny pickles.

From the fortress videos I see from Venus it's pretty lame =\. No epic giant battles from what I've seen so far. And that's what sort of motivates you to train harder, to defeat that giant union that controls the fortress or something. When you control something like that so much that only 3 bots come to the fortress war (from what I saw in Guardias video) then theres like no competition.

True, but what do you get when you take all the people that have been run off their servers due to huge bot/gold bot populations? Venus. Look at whats happening, slowly, more and more true legits are migrating off older servers (xian, troy, babel, greece, etc.) over to venus, it can only get better on that server and soon they will have huge numbers to compete with the other giant servers. And they will completely legit if Avalon/BHA keep up the awesome job they are doing, thus making it 10000% better than any other server.

its not the legits fault that botters are tired of being beaten and they are too lazy >.> other than the bot unions, BHA has tried (or so i have heard) to take the fort , but we a small amount of high lvls compared to avalon, so its kinda hard... but we will keep trying .
btw nb is right too. Avalon has funded a lot of guilds to lvl up, not only in their union, but in the other legit guilds too.

well i got shocked to.. i thought venus was a fairly old server.. and when i downloaded isro i saw it was populated and (NEW) infront.. i was like .. Well i am only lvl 4 and i played maybe 20 minutes then i died and got tired of playing and logged out lol
