A forum i used to go to (their serv = KIA) had a special forum for "premium members"... basically it was a forum for members of the site who had been...
A: with the site for a long time
B: a good poster (no crap like "
")
C: new people could only be granted access through a vote by the people already in the special section
prety much, like Kratos said, a Private section for older members

I am this '' close to creating a "Questions and Answers" forum.
To better the general discussion area.
However, this requires more mods to move the nooby questions where they belong. 'Site Discussion' is already being attacked with questions that don't belong here.
I don't have any plans for a 'leetest' forum. Those memebers would only spend time there; and the rest of the forum would be ignored.
As far as guild forums, we have those. You just don't see them.

Agreed
I was wondering...When u sign up for a forum, u have to say that you're over 13 and agrre the terms etc, and read the rules.
Is it possible to edit the rules and make a little place to explain what every part of the forum are made for?

For your reading pleasure, an old rant of mine from TheHelper.net - regarding how people never read the forum rules, or FAQ
------------------------------Begin Rant------------
People ignore this.
So why would they read that post?
Most of that is in forum rules anyway. Do we want 2 sets of unread rules?
At most I think, revise/clarify the forum rules. It has been a while since I've done that.
If "please help i new" is becomming a problem, our mods need to close more threads....
We should do an experiment, and make the only forum rule like this:
Guess what?
They'd post. And they would post like THIS:
Actually
I was thinking of editing the new post template to say something above the window, like "Please read our forum rules before you post" with link. Something REALLY DAMN obvious.
Then I can have multiple popups for filtering.
Oh oh and?
I can set it to only do it to posters under like....600 posts. For our sake.
Oh oh and?
And edit the PM template, to say DO NOT PM MODS WITH WORLD EDITOR QUESTIONS.
