Well, there goes my account, it was only lvl 39, but i transferred a lot of money from my main to him, and my pirate suit's also gone, and all kinds of stuff i bought for him... this is soo farked up. Well, now I'm afraid to play on my main or even login, i'm using all sorts of scans, but does anybody knows a good scanner for keyloggers which can ALSO delete them? anyway, i'm not going to play anymore, my passes constantly get changed, and also my hotmail e-mail. I'm kind of fighting against a keylogger, but can anybody pleeeeaaaase tell me something to stop this, cause I can't take it anymore!

I'm afraid I don't know how to reformat my computer, i'm kind of noobie, only know how to run scans and protect my computer... atleast, i thought I did.. last time i did had a virus called Security Toolbar 7.1 .... Be careful when you have that virus, i think it's because of that that i got hacked

Do you have your windows install disk? If you still have it (you should), just pop it in, and follow the instructions, it's easy. It'll take a while, but IMHO, it's worth it. Just try to backup all your important files, like papers, financial info, pics, etc. I'm going to be doing a clean format soon too. I do one a couple times a year usually, just to be safe

wow.. you never install an activeX 'thingy' from ANY site you aren't sure is 100% safe.

Im not a super computer genious, so forgive my noobtastic ??? How would visiting a site, give you a virus. You would have to accept an active-x script wouldn’t you? You had to dl something to get the virus. Im at least 99.9% sure.

IIRC, on "Low" security settings in IE, an ActiveX script will be auto-accepted, but not ActiveX controls. Sometimes they can be hidden in a popup window that inexperienced users will click on - like "Click here to defrag your hard drive!".

Another reason to use Firefox...

Btw, Im making a program to login to sro that keyloggers cannot detect your account info. In fact, they can but the program will send a lot of unicode key to confuse it. Wait next week, this week im busy

Um you guys do know that even if you reformat it isn't 100% clean. It's more like 97% but that is the best option. Only experienced hackers that know what they're doing can keep some sort of malware on a HDD after it's reformatted. :|

what website did you visit to ask for the activex with virus or keylog/trojan etc...? i'm pretty sure it must be a porn site that requires you this certain thingy to view their files. I know cause I was once there ... ahhh it was welllll worth it! go go me!

there is a key encryption program called unlogger if your worried you might have been keylogged, but better to just wipe the drive and get rid of it

even if he does reformat, if he still continues to do whatever he does that lets keyloggers get into his comp, no use...
