I hereby demand that a new rule should be drawn together and added to the rules of this community. I think that "censoring" screen shots posted in here is plain stupid and unnecessary unless you are doing it with the sole purpose of hiding the fact that you bot. If this is going to be a legit community then we must enforce that screen shots that are censored should be considered bot support.

Privacy my ass, if someone wanted to hack you then they could just go in-game and take names.
Privacy my ass, if you are scared of being spammed in-game you can simply block the people that start spamming you due to something that you posted on the forums.
Privacy my ass, if the screen shot is not yours you could care less about what the original owner of the screen shot thinks. They're not your boss.

If the person who is posting here claims that "the screen shot was already censored from the original source" to by-pass this new rule then they should provide a link to the original source.

If people want privacy than so be it, who are we to invade it?

Some people dont want to relate their in game experiences with their out of game experiences. If thats the case than so be it.

This is general discussions for Silkroad Online. How would this not be in-game experiences. If they want privacy then don't post at all. This is a public forum and by posting they are agreeing to show themselves to thousands of people. This is the internet.

I don't think its a big deal with hiding your name, unless someone is suspected a bot or something like that, but hiding other stuff can be annoying.
Pretty much just don't use a black square lol, or make it really small, I usualy just blue stuff, it looks alot less annoying, to me anyway.

I guess thats true though, why post if you wanna hide your name ;d.

Well I think only if a screen is questionable in nature ie: someone posted it in EB section, then you would need an unedited one. Other then that, if someone wants to edit their ss let them. Its call freedom, enjoy it.

If you're going to go the lengths to edit the pic with some black bullshit why not just either f12 when taking screen shots or minimizing the chat window and help menu.

Embarrassed of their low level? Their gear will show what level they are. Murdering people is part of the game, and when you choose the option of murdering someone you should be man enough to face the consequences. Who are we to take others privacy? We are a community put here to talk and discuss Silkroad about its players and community. We are not here to discuss nameless screen shots.

Yeah but we have no right to interfere with them if they don't want to show there ID. If they show a picture without there name and bot shame on them, but if they don't bot but just want to keep there name private shame on us.

Ok, let's say i killed Izutaro (or whatever) but i was so busy killing it, that i forgot to close the chat. And in the chat i am chatting with my BF how i wanna make him a blowjob. Or i'm talking a guild member giving him my cellphone. What, everyone should see this, because there is a rule for not hiding anything? Come on, you are so afrais some botters are hidin around, that you can't even take it and want more rules about it? It's pathetic....really.....
There are some screen, for example when you spam someone with party, you get lagg, he joins your party and you get the "maximum lvl bla bla of the party" in the party window.... if that happends to be in your screen by mistake you will be burned alive here....

Well maybe blocking the chat is not a big deal but your character's name. The only legitimate reason to do it would be to hide yourself from people knowing that you're that botter at the Niyas that keeps ksing.

Lots of things.
90% of the people here like to make false accusations. If its blurred you get comments like: "do you bot, why else hide your name?" and if you show the picture you get comments that Ragnarok mentioned such as: "Gold Buyer!!!!!!, You have 200 mil....legits cant get that much without buying gold" and more. (Exaggerated) The list goes on but its just a lack of a community feeling. Most people spend most of their time trying to ban each other instead of playing the damn game.

Censoring is not a big deal at all. Like you have any business with a screenshot someone posted, other then the intended one.

get over it. If someone doesnt like you seeing something, even with stuff like Rev6, then they're fully in there right to do so.

Forums are a dictatorship, not a democarcy.

People don't have rights, if something is deemed wrong by the forum leaders, then it is.

EG - Banning all people from Australia, sure we have a right to view this page, but if the MODs don't deem it right, then we GTFO.

So if censoring SS's means potential hiding of botting, then it should be looked into.

You've got your senses mixed up. People don't have rights on the forums, but they do have right outside them. Blanking out names in Photoshop, therefor can be done if so wished.

Furthermore, it's not healthy, nor good for the forums, to assume everyone blanking out information is a botter. That's not the right way to go.

Nothing. But that's besides the point. Some people like anonimity, they're not into guilds. Or they just started over and do not want the whole world to find out. Stuff like that. People are fond of privacy.
