i was just wondering if, since we've lost a lot of mods, will there be new mods added at any point in the future?

?? Indeed, and if we do decide to get new mods, it will be a whole different process. After what has happen

I think the admins should be clearer on what a mod really is. it isn't just an elevated position in a forum, they are watchmen and make sure nothing goes out of control. From what I've seen there hasn't been much of that from the newer mods, but that may be due in part of how much time they spend here (you can't catch everything bad that goes on)

Somewhere in a topic. I'm too lazy to find it atm, so don't take my word for it.

I did say that. We've lost quite a few and we probably should. But after what the team's gone through, we really think we need more time to get everything straight and plan a better strategy so shit doesn't happen again. We'll really appreciate it if you allow us some time to solve the issues at hand. I think all of us are kind of being reluctant after all that drama.

I really don't think there's a need to make it clear what a mod is. Mods are moderators who are here to ensure the rules and punish those who doesn't and promote the community. And new mods are doing great actually. You only kind of see the globals doing "work" because their mod abilities are a bit less than what the globals have. But they do a great job in terms of finding problems, letting us know and giving opinions to important issues. <3 Don't underestimate the work they do.

Being mod is more than having access to the *secret room* and having a cool blue/red name...

why did you quit? I thought being a mod was enjoyable

@milly
I must have underestimated the behind-the-scenes work

Video section not working. Unable to flame when i want :P

I had a blue name but had nothing to do with it, my mod position was useless...

Pretty much sums it up. :)
Ps don't apply if the job seems 'enjoyable'. That's a wrong motivation. :)

Some people think that the only part of being a mod is locking/editing/moving topics. I personally think that's only the basics. Its only the first step you take in order to keep everything clean.

If you wanted to flame aka let yourself loose sometimes, we did offer you a seperate modding account and its nothing secret because we state it very clearly on mod applications. Perhaps you could have thought carefully what exactly it was that you wanted.

When I was a non-global mod I was assigned the Guilds & Clans section. Only topics are like, "ThePhoenix Recruiting 51+", and I still came on SRF, modded those sections when there was nothing to do, and contributed my opinions to other matters. Believe me I had MUCH less work than you had for few month.

I still <3 you Krats but I really don't appreciate that comment. We did offer you other sections and we DID tell you that you were doing a great job sharring your opinions on other important stuff. I don't think your mod position was useless at all and it hurts me to hear you voicing such things.

>_> And of course it isn't blue, its purple.

+1 to what milly said

and +1 to bow, modding is more than just editing/locking/deleting,
a big part of the "job" is behind the scenes.

and about the blue/purple part.. what if he calls purple blue?

If its about the way I mod or the way I speak of the way I whip or its the things I've said. I don't mind you telling me right here. A lot of ppl say I'm two different person ingame/on MSN V.S. on forums but I just want to know which part of it that made you feel negative.

a change in process? what kinda change? it's not entirely the processes fault that contributed to the downfall of so many mods. they're still forum members and silkroad players (some) after all.

I really don't want to say it out loud, but you can tell the reason why we lost so many. So overcoming that and getting people who can commit

I actually don't feel superior at all. I still feel like the SRF noob I was way since I started lurking here. Even now I try to avoid having to send cold and mean messages and try to be approachable. I'm really sorry I made you feel that way, and I actually think its just how I'm typing full sentences =\

Its also probably when I'm having bad times of the month I get emotinal and type a bit mean >_> but anyway please talk me around SRF and let me know when you think my attitude is bad. I'll be more than happy to whip myself for it.

I never felt BF was entertaining and I totally don't get his jokes or whatever, but in this case I see almost no harm being done. However, that being said, if you do feel bothered by it I'll support you with the best of my ability and delete that post and give a whipping for cin for him to refrain from doing that. (But he probably will again at some point since BF is his favorite toy ;))

And sorry for the late reply, I had exams.

This was the first time i have ever talked to her and she dealt with my report is a nice, understanding way. So based off my interactions with her, im gonna disagree with you there.
